What is special about the R6 Deltabox III? What all is different from a regualr R6 and were they limited production? Also are they worth any more than a regualr R6?

its just a name yammi attached to their frames. i know all their bikes used to say that.

not a damn thing special. All 03+ are deltabox III. 00-02 were deltabox II. Just what they call the frame fairing setup. Kind of like ford has "triton" v8.

Actually there is a difference between the II and the III. The 03 was the first year for the all new frame (III), if you look at it, the frame is one peice, it has only one weld, not welded all the way around like typical. ;)

the R6 is usually 1 model behind the R1. If you look at the '03 R1, it has a Deltabox IV and the '03 R6 has the Deltabox III. Im not sure what the new R6 has, probably a Deltabox IV, but its just the name of the frame. All R6's and R1's have a "deltabox" frame

Actually ,your wrong again. The new model R6 always comes out before the R1. Big difference between the 02 R6 frame and the 03, 04, 05 R6 frame. Delta Box is the name for the frame, that you are correct on. It all new and Aluminum for 06, I don't know if they are calling it a IIII though.

Actually, you read my post wrong. I didnt say the R1 releases before the R6, I said the R6 is usually one generation of frame model behind the R1. open your eyes

Maybe sequence number but the R6 got the new one peice frame before the R1.

Actually, the Deltabox III frame has 2 welds, not 1. Regardless, it's one hell of a rigid frame (wrt aluminum, of course).
