How good of a deal is this?

Im looking at getting a bike and a guy i work with told me he would sell me his 2003 yamaha r6 deltabox III with 8k miles for $4000. I know it seems like a good deal but what is an average price for a bike like that?

They go for $5000-5500 normally. $4000 is quite low, I'd look into it a little more
