It's a known fact that the universe is in motion, gravity causes that. There was a beginning, and will likely have an ending, but some say there is a recycling pattern of birth, destruction, and rebirth in the universe, but the time scales involved, as well as size and distance, simply cannot be concieved in the human mind.
There is a higher power, a diety, but most religions have a poor understanding of this higher power. So they just use anecdotal, dogmatic beliefs to thier advantage.
I believe the universe is very old and very big, and that it all started with a huge explosion. Why was there a big explosion that started it all? The Higher Power (God) snapped his fingers.

I agree with Wtw. I used to think that the universe was too perfect and uniform for there not to be some god making sh!t happen all the time but now realize that the universe is extremely chaotic and very few things are 100% predictable.

As far as "B", yes.
We just got done helping our daughter build a human body replica for a school project. We bought a couple of books to use as reference material to help us with the details. Looking through those books reminded me of the incredible complexity of the human body and that IMO there is no way that the creation of it was a random event involving static electricity and slime. Same goes for what I see around me every day as I go through life.
I know that others see it differently, and that's fine also.

Don't believe in the Bible, rather believe in Jesus and he will reveal himself to you, not only through the Bible, but in all things around you. But I do warn, don't try to tackle the Bible on your own, get help, hear it preached.
Faith is a part of the process but personal experience is the key, this is the basis that strengthen's faith....its kind of like going to the gym, lifting and then in time you see results...not only on the outside but on the inside as well....
On a side note, there is not one thing that man has ever created that compares to the human body...mind, heart and soul....nothing. Saying we came out of nothing is like walking into a forrest and finding a Space Shuttle and just thinking it must of came out of the ground....and the shuttle can't even compete to the human body.
We were created, no doubt, and thru my life and my personal experience with Christ and the Bible I believe he is my King and Creator.....besides...I say this to those who don't believe...what am I loosing...nothing...I much rather live my life in Christ and die and find out it wasn't true then live my life they way I use to and die and find out it was....I have gained so much since being saved, addictions, hate, pain, you name it, stuff I tried to tackle on my own for 16 years and failed each time, but thru Christ I have overcome so much...and strive each day to contiune...the best way I can put it is...I was blind but now can see. Praise God.
Sorry...got a little preachy!

As for B, ive aruged with so many people about that it's not even funny. I don't have a religion, nor do i belive in a supreme being. Don't get me wrong there is some unexplainable shit, then again so is the lottery. Not exactly the best comparision, but you get the idea. Religion was created to control society imo, hell for all we know it could have been a regular fantasy genre book, and then someone got the bright idea to say it was the truth.

How did man come to build the space shuttle? Did a bunch of cavemen build it using bearskins and stone axes? of course not!! Since man's inception each generation tinker's, explores and experiments. Some ideas are bad, and usually fade away quickly, but some ideas are good and last, really good ideas are timeless, and are added to and improved upon with each generation.
So the space shuttle is the culmination of tens of thousands of years of mans accumulated knowledge.
Evolution works in a similar way. Every so often an example of some animal (or plant) is born that has a slight difference from it's progenitor. If this slight change is bad (and it frequently is) the animal/plant dies quickly. But if this slight change gives the animal/plant an advanatage, it thrives and reproduces, thus carrying on the improvement. We are talking almost imperceptable changes here, but when you multiply these changes over hundreds of millions of years the result is a completely different animal.
And there's proof right in front of your face, it's a documented fact that animals change to adapt to thier enviroments. But the process is so slow we really can't see it. But if you look at bacteria and viruses, thier life cycle is so brief and they reproduce so often, we can glimpse evolution. Millions of generations of these life forms come and go in your lifetime, so the time line is compressed greatly, and we can watch! Every few years bacteria and viruses change and become resistant to a anti-biotic or morph to become more virulent, or even morph to be able to thrive in different environments. THIS IS EVOLUTION, the life formed changed after billions of them died, but finally one changed and survived the anti-biotic, and guess what? this lucky bacteria reproduced and thrived.
Bible thumpers don't study evolution at all because thier minds are already made up. They want to say that no way slime turned into a fish, then tuned into a monkey and then turned into a man, as if it all happened in a few thousand years. That notion IS ridiculous, as is the idea that space ships were just spontaniously built by cavemen. I work with a "christian" and he refuses to even look at the theory of evolution, but will ask "tell me how a monkey gave birth to a man"? He should ask "how did a monkey give birth to a monkey that was 3% smarter? Evolution is billions of years worth of tiny, imperceptable changes summed up in one package. It took a BILLION years for "slime" (simple one celled animals) to evolve into the simplest fish. Then another BILLION years for fish to change into the simplest land animal.
To put the number one BILLION into perspective, if you started spending a thousand dollars ($1000) a day, ever day, the day Jesus was born, you still would not have run out of money!

personally, i believe the universe has always been in motion and forever will be in motion even if there isn't anything in it. just an infinate abyss of nothing.
on the other hand. there could be a higher power out there, but i think humans couldn't even begin to understand, and i believe we got the religion thing all wrong. the person we call god, i believe it was man made just to give us the sense of feeling secure and safe that someone, an all mighty, omnipotent life form, is watching over you all the time and someone or something to blame or question when something in your life goes wrong.
