it could also be more than a timing issue. post up the combo and let us know how much timing is in it and so on. Its always better to fix a problem the right way than just mask it up.

Back when I used to drive my car on the street a few years ago I would go to Hicks Airfield airport and would buy 20 gallons of aviation gas in 5 gallon cans. I would mix 5 gallons in with 10 gallons of 93 octane and then go street racing on Saturday night. If I didn't put av gas in with it it pinged a little. Back then av gas was $2.03 a gallon. It's probably higher now.

Use torco that would help alot and cheaper. It works on alot of supercharge and turbo cars. It's $15.99. We can ship it.

You can go to 3 places that I know of in Fort Worth area.

1.) Smiley's in Kennedale (817-572-7467)
They carry upto 110 Sunoco and is around the $6 range...probably cheapest around

2.) USA in Arlington (817-460-0060)
CALL BEFORE YOU GO! They have are hard time keeping it in stock cause they can't afford it most of the time. They carry Sunoco and it is about $6.50 a gallon for 112 supreme. They carry 104, 110, 112 and 116 I think....JUST CALL and ask BEFORE you go!

3.) Bobby Archer Motorsports in Fort Worth (817-877-1772)
Probably the most expensive and only carry like two octane grands. Not sure on the brand.

Hope this helps!

First of all, I used to run AV fuel and mix it years ago and it did OK. I know better now to NOT MIX Fuels. Don't add octane booster unless you HAVE to...just run name brand racing fuel at the correct octane that your engine needs.....you won't be sorry.

Second, I do not believe you can buy AV fuel nowadays unless you have a pilots license. I could be wrong about this, but I have heard that it is not easily available to people that want to walk up and just buy it. EPA has cracked down on running AV fuel in street cars. (Was much cheaper though.)

thanks for all the No.
I went to hicks airfield and got 100 LL fuel. Price is not bad $3.40, I will try it staright first then will try to mix it with 93 octane and see where it wont ping at all. I dont race my car, just want to run better without the ping... Thanks Again
