Went to do a little testing last nite,I made one pass about 8:45 after a long clean up...eased off the line Then I couldn't keep it out of the rev limiter, gotta move it up a little.Only went 6.70@103 but it felt good...Went to set up a race with a little blue S-10 & he said maybe? Then a 10:30 they announced the pit lanes were closed  What is the deal the midnite curfew was a beating allready now it is 11:00...They should just shut that track down, that was sorry....no one is ready to quit @ 10:30 I guess that is why the crowd was small......BTW...No redline tonite or beach,my work is killing me,I gotta go to Lubbock today to work, that sucks....I will be ready for next wknd....19th & 20th....

He may not pick up where Tom left off, or at least it won't be as easy. They made some adjustments to the turbo rules from what I was told. I'm not sure exactly what changes were made. I was at the Malouf BBQ yesterday but I didn't go sit in on the meeting when it was all discussed. I didn't find out they made changes until right before we left Tom's place last night. It should make for some real close racing next year in Extreme Street.

Per Cedric's own words.. the turbo cars can have a maximum of 82MM as measured from 1/16th away from the compressor wheel. They must add 100lbs. over last season, bringing them to 3300lbs. Air/water allowed... .AND they are ALLOWED to run "necked down and / or sleeved" turbos. (extreme)
True Street BB rules dropped 100 lbs across the board as well bringing them to 3300 for BBC and 3400 BBF.( I am sure there are more details, but that is all I remembered)... Afterwards I talked to Cedric about the "aftermarket block" adding 100 lbs on a turbo car.. which would make them weigh in more than a BB car now.. He agreed to my suggestion of 3300lbs for a turbo / aftermarket block :D
I can't wait till next season to actually get to make some competition passes instead of sidelines..

Waiting for next season. Saving my nickles and dimes so I can afford to replace both my axles. Both of them are twisted. I got a couple changes to do and that's about it.
I don't care what the rules are, that's why I didn't attend the meeting, I'm gonna race anyway so it doesn't make me any difference. Heck, thay can make em all be painted yellow for all I care!

I did the same thing - except I waited all through this season to be able to compete next season. I do care about the rules but at the same time I don't - I too was planning on racing either way. Regardless you still have to go and try to get your piece of the pie in the meeting - I think it was pretty fair. The guy in the Vega wasn't going to give up though!

The guy with the Vega has a valid point. Vegas didn't come with any kind of usuable rear frame structure. It wouldn't bother me a bit if he was allowed in. But I guess the rules say what they say so.........Don't get me wrong, I care about the rules to a certian point, but not enough to sit in one of those meetings.

Is the Speedtech Diffuser plate allowed in True Street.

Is the Speedtech Diffuser plate allowed in True Street.
According to the rules that I heard at Tom's place - it is legal as long as it has only one nitrous and one fuel solenoid. (and one purge.)a
Is the Speedtech Diffuser plate allowed in True Street.
From my understanding, the newer style single stage plate systems will be allowed in True Street. When the rules were written 4 years ago all plates had spray bars. Now 4 years later there are a couple companies making single stage plates without spray bars. The intent of the original wording was to keep someone fom using a crossbar plate as a 2 stage system. So I guess as longs as there is only one fuel solenoid and one n2o solenoid, what difference does it make how the n2o is delivered into the plentum? The last I heard from Cedric the diffuser plate will be allowed.

TXR has just switched to the wintertime hours - it's the same thing they do every year. Every once in a while they will make exceptions (when there is a large number of cars there) but it's been the same as long as I can remember...
so does that mean that a BBF with a460 heads can run true street? :D
I think it is legal, but I will check with Cedric. It flows the same #'s as some of the conventional BBC heads and those BBC heads are legal. Now the C-460 heads are not legal. Heck, some of those heads flow like Big Cheif heads. I think the weight of the BBF is now 3400 intead of 3500.
Send any questions to texastrue10_5@yahoo.com and your question will get answered thru this e-mail address.
