A guy at work has an srt, always wanted to race one, now i wish i didnt...He said he put a diff wastegate, and intercooler on it....I need more horses, felt like i was on a shetland pony.I should have know better,on the back window it says" Surgeon General says it is ok to smoke V-8's"" HaHaHa...Maybe next time

i have ran against 4 of those Peons and beat all four. hell, once with no 2nd gear..we went from a 35 punch in 3rd and never had to hit 4th before he backed out. it was silver and he said he had a pop off valve and a chip in the computer. he said it put 250 to the "front" wheels. :rolleyes:

actually i look for those little Peons.

but i remember that thing was blowing air out of a valve... it reminded me of the sound a NOS purge valve makes. i asked if he was running NOS and that's when he said what he said. all i know is that he wasn't as quick as he thought he was. :rolleyes:

yeah i liked the "stock except" part too :D it's all in how you wrap it.

as for running you, hell i don't care. if i win.. i win. if i loose, then i would like to know what it can keep up with or not.

it ran 9.2's at redline at the summer cruise with a bad clutch, plugs, cap and rotor. all have been replaced and the clutch is going to be fixed next weekend.

so it's not real quick.... but i have only stated that i have never been beat in 4 attempts by a Peon. nothing more nothing less.

I've ran into 3 Srt's, I haven't been beat by one of them, YET. The first two I beat by bus lengths, but there was a blue one in Addison that was only a car behind me up to 120ish. It was by far the fastest SRT I've ever seen. All in all, they're decently quick for what they are.

99 z28, lid, FRA - 160* t-stat.

both stock ones I ran from a low roll and a stop, it was no where close - they may have not been able to drive well, either. I did run a pretty fast one who drove pretty well and he did keep up good. probably just driver issues..

Weird, mine right now has a k&n CAI, electronic boost controller set for 18psi spike, falling to 14psi at redline, and a stage 1 PCM.

Just get some dr's I saw him at denton a few weeks ago and my friend was beating him all night with just weld in flowmasters. Its a pretty quick car thoughI need some motor mounts and maybe dr's, or slicks to be able to get it to hook right. I also need to mess with my boost controller, it gets full boost about 2200rpms, which gives me a ton of part throttle boost, making me spin bad in 1st and 2nd.

AGP Wastegate actuator turned up to about 18 psi should do the trick. Maybe that and a $30 map clamp to lean it out a little up top.

I passed the car you guys are talking about going home last night (about 2:30a) on 75 going north.

Its a really clean car... the 'surgeon' sticker is a bit much, but that's just my opinion.

On a side note if that is somebody on here...

If I choose not to race you (esp on 'drunk driver expressway' at 2:30a) you really don't have to run side by side to me for 3 miles even when I'm not in the lane next to you...

Oh... and the ricer flyby when I was exiting was nice... as if I needed to know your car isn't stock... but the hazards flash *oops, i guess we were racing* was classic ricer.

Anyway... it's a good looking car and I'm sure it's pretty quick...
