I don't think Houston could afford TO. At least not what he thinks he's worth. Plus, he's not going to go to a team where he doesn't think he can win games. I'm not saying he's not good, he's just not as good as he thinks he is. IMO.

The man can catch a football and there are very few if any in the NFL that has much success defending him. Let the Ds in the NFL defend Glenn, Owens and Johnson every game.
Johnson, Glenn, Owens as Cowboys... find a consistent running back and we are back in the early-mid 90s. Bledsoe has another year or two in him and he is having one of his best years ever at QB in the NFL.

The two teams out of that bunch that TO would want to play for are the Falcons and the Cowboys. Due to the fact that they actually have a chance of winning. Out of the Cowboys and Falcons he would choose the Cowboys more than likely, becuase the Falcons run the ball way to much for him.

It's not what he said. It's how how he went about saying it... who he said it to. You have to know when to open your mouth and when to keep it shut.
If he would have said it in the locker room out of frustration, as opposed to an interview with ESPN, it would be an entirely different story. It's one thing to bring morale down in the locker room after a loss.
It's another thing to publicize it as freely and with as much discontent as he did in such a broad forum.

I wonder what would the outcry be if he hadnt agreed with what was said by Irvin, though. Would people like Madden jump up and say he is bad mouthing Favre? I know the way he went about saying it was wrong, and thats the reason he isnt playing anymore. Does he have morals? No not at all. But you have to remember back in the early 90's. The Cowboys had Dieon Sanders, Micheal Irvin, Nate Newton, and Leon Lett all on the same team. Did those guys have any morals at that time? Not at all. Did they manage to win a lot of games with those guys? Yes they did. So why not add TO, and put up with his and Keyshawns BS, and go back to the days of the early to mid 90's?

I think if he came to Dallas, and played for Parcells he may not say the things he says now. Thats what I was saying about Keyshawn. Before he played for Parcells he was just like TO. He even wrote a book that was titled "Just Give me the Damn Ball." Then Parcells came in to coach the Jets, and he was a different person. Then he went to Tampa and under Gruden went back to his old ways. Now again under Parcells is a different person. I think TO would be the same way.TO is a bigger dirt bag than any of the afore mentioned players. Those guys knew what being a teammate means. TO knows nothing of that.

When the contract talk fired up earlier this year, wasn't TO making noise about wanting to go to Atlanta to play for Vick? He has a track record of trying to put himself on the best team possible, just like when he said no to Baltimore in favor of a pay cut to go to the Eagles, which he then complained about a year later by saying he was underpaid, even though he orchestrated the move to Philthadelphia. There are only a handful of teams he will play for and they had better have a winning record in his mind. When San Fran took a shit, he was the first rat off the burning ship, and now that Philly is struggling a little, I won't be surprised to see him want to jump ship again. Initially, I am shocked to consider him being a Cowboy, but one must also admit how intriguing the lineup would sound, and Jerry would definitely have the power to pull it off.

pfft, he's a great receiver, no doubt, but you are not going to win a superbowl with him. If the cowboys pick him up, they are fools. You can't change him. SF tried to deal with him, it only got worse. Why do you think they took basically nothing in return from Philly?
There will be a team that picks him up, and just like his previous teams, the cancer that is TO will spread and destroy the team. Philly thought they could handle him, "oh he just needs to be with someone he likes such as a Mcnabb and on a winning team." "He was only that way because SF sucked." "change of scenery, thats what he needs." Yea, that worked out real nice. 1.5 seasons in and he belittles his friends, team mates, coaches, etc, holds out and then beats up a lineman. What he brings to the field can't make up for the damage he does off the field. He tears teams apart and then forces coaches and owners to suspend him or keep him from playing. TO will never own a superbowl ring.

Again, San Fran took a busted backup Defensive End and a 5th round or 6th round pick (I forget)for the best receiver in the game. They wanted out just as bad as he did. Why would you wish cancer on your own team?????
I CAN'T believe I am about to do this, but I agree. TO is by far the best wr in the nfl. some team is going to get him at a low price, and I can only hope my dolphins somehow get a chance to sign him.

remember guys... This is not the first time someone has told the truth about McNabb...... (coughs) Rush Limbaugh
He is not a great QB .... IMO

As Darrel Royal once said about Earl Cambell, "He may not be in a class by himself, but it don't take long to call roll."
He's a Top 3 QB in the NFL.

If not "the" best he is still a great WR... He does ok when he is not the best player on the team and can blame others for losing. If he came to Dallas I think he could and would learn alot. He is a asshole but I hate seeing talent go to waste. Whatever happens he should go to a team that is already doing great and that has another great WR. Would be great to see him and keyshawn "duke" it out. :D
Seriously he would do good if we had the cowboys of old, with all those ego's and super talent he would not act up so much. Give him another Jerry Rice on the opposite hash marks and we would not hear so much as a peep from the idiot...

I think he will fit for 1 or 2 years, of course they don't have a qb so he wouldn't play for them anyways. but for all the bs he does, he still didn't quit on his team like ricky did and you see ricky back in uniform. so why not TO

I don't care who you are fan of, but when he did that, he made a statement. that was you can't stop me. so when E.smith did after he did it, he said try and stop me and then the cowgirls got all pissed off and started fights. TO did that because he can. just like chad johnson has his list and talks about it all the time, to can do his thing. I never liked him as a 49er only cause I hate that team, but I always liked TO.Thats why TO got ran the fuck over by George Teague, thats why Mariucci(sp) suspened his ass after that, or maybe it was a fine, I can't remember.
Bottom line is: TO is a self centered piece of shit. The only reason he is apoligizing now is because his mouth finally overloaded his ass and he sees dollar signs flying out the window. I personally think its great that this has happened to him, but unfortunatly, some desperate team will pick his sorry bitch ass up.

TO is a poison. He shows his talent and then shows his ass. Every team that he has played for and will play for ends up in the shitter. I hope that he is picked up by the Redskins.
Like I said in '05, TO is nothing but trouble. Now his dumbass has been getting into it with Witten.
Talk about bringing back a 2-3 year old thread. hahaha :D
