This performance by Vick was the worst meltdown I have ever witnessed, even worse than the Big XII Championship in 2001. If ESPN wasn't hyping Vick so much, and if he wasn't a punk criminal, I might feel sorry for him."

Miami is actually rated the No. 1 Defense in the NCAA. It is unfortunate that they lost to FSU in the 1st game of the season, but how many other teams have to open the season against a historically rated "powerhouse" Like FSU and vice versa?

I'm the biggest Hurricane Fan there is, but I would much rather see UT win the title over USC...

not bitter, they are letting the freshman qb play now, they are trying to get him ready for next year. but I knew they would be bad this year. they lost 20 starters the last 2 yrs. but they will be back if not next year then the year after.

but bama now has one of the hardest schedule. and they are 3 and 4 in the human polls, should be a solid three but alas one poll is jumping on the canes back.

very good question. One could only hope (as a Longhorn fan) that the human voters would still rank UT in the top 2. They would hopefully see that UT only struggled once with an unranked opponent before handing them their asses, then the next week came out and MURDERED a ranked opponent 62-0. That coupled with the fact that USC has struggled with a couple unranked teams and such, hopefully Texas could jump them to hopefully be #1, or #2 if Miami jumped both teams. Very good question... let's discuss this further. What are YOUR opinions Cartman?

This is so much fun so here we go, I hear people crying about USC being ranked over tu. Well there is a reason for such. I know USC had a few games where they went into halftime down and came back to win but unlike tu it was not against unranked opponents. It was against the likes of Oregon, ASU and ND all ranked when they played USC. Now I understand that ASU is no longer is ranked but the only 3 losses they have incurred are against top 25 programs two of them being USC and LSU so they are a good club when compared to oh lets say OSU? As for Oregon and ND they are respectively ranked at 10th and 11th in the BCS so that excuse won't fly when talking about come-backs. Heck even two of the Heisman candidates are from the USC program and returned last years winner of the coveted trophy. Currently VY sets atop the Heisman watch list so congrats for that. Then back to statistics and you have to look at the fact USC has taken two of the last three Heisman trophies given. So it really isn't hard at all to see why tu is setting in the passengers seat on the way to the Rose Bowl.

No but I didn't expect you to get it. I am speaking of what influences the human votes that make up part of the BCS scoring system as to why USc is rated above tu. They are influenced by the past which is why you see big flips in the top ten at the beginning of year in the polls. Teams come from no where and end up ranked like TCU and other teams fall sharply like OU. So the human voting factor is inherently flawed by past perceptions.
