Re-format?

I am trying to start over on my computer and remove everything and re install windows xp...but i cant find anywhere on windows help where it says how to do that any help would be great

>> change the boot sequence where it boots from cd first

>> then let it boot it will say something like hit any key to setup windows

i have a question. i have a new hard drive and i need to install windows on it and all i have is the xp (upgrade) and it wont work cause i dont have a pre-existing windows, or a disk with one on it. is there any way i can install a window on my pc.

Borrow anyones windows cd or disk let it do the check then give theirs back...
