I ran a new best at Kennedale tonight on the Nitrous.. I ran a 7.204@95.83mph with a 1.53 60ft... I know I can still get it running faster, I just have to pull some more weight out of the car.. I'm hoping it will run some 7.0's with some better cooler weather and less weight, but for now it was great for me..

Congrats. getting to the low 7's is nice. but be warned soon you will be obssesed with dipping into the 6's. :cool:

Yeah I know what you mean, but for me to get into the 6's consistently I will have to do some motor work, or lighten the car up alot.. Its just a stock motor with some bolt ons and a little spray.. I only have 3.73 gears too.. Maybe 4.10's would help me out in the 1/8 a little more, but I do like the 3.73's.. They pull pretty hard up top..

ALOT of people don't like to do it, but for me taking weight out of my car is the absolute BEST thing i have ever done! Ofcourse i've gone a little extreme with it.

The car looked good last night that's for damn sure.
I wouldn't change the gearing at all - If you go to the 4.10's you will go faster on motor and slower on bottle. Reason : If it forces you to shift to 4th when you are close to the traps. Practice on technique.
You could go to the 4.30's and possibly be better - You will be in 4th for a "while" before you get to the traps so there will be "recovery time"
Just keep in mind when you change to the numerically higher gearing - the gear changes come A LOT quicker and you don't have time to "prepare" yourself for the next shift!
IMHO - the best thing you can do for that car now is the suspension, like mentioned above. Wolfe's christmas sale is coming up, take advantage of it!
Add the tubular K member, coil over front suspension and some adjustable shocks and struts and go 6's!!!!

Yeah Brooks I think your right.. I do need to get the front suspension.. That alone will take off around 75lbs or so.. That is the next thing on the list to do..
Steph's car is a 2v with 4.10's and a 100 shot of gas. She does have alot of suspension on her car but. Im able to go through the traps in third around 6300rpms, with a 26 inch slick. Best pass thus far is a 7.20@94. I would think with a 4v it would be no problem.
