The name is familiar.. im trying to remember.. knew alot of ppl in my f-body days.. and his name definaly stands out but i cant picture his name..
by the way.. i have a new addiction:) and im going have to lose ALOT of fat to be any good at it.. so im going to see how dedicated i can get to getting stronger AND leaner!!

So what exactly is this new addiction? You should try out for like a trimspa challenge or something where you try and lose weight to make their product look good, and send in before and after pics. If you win you can get alot of money and such.

Dieting isn't bad, once you start, just stick with it.
I LOVE to eat and eat a FUCKIN TON(up to 6-7 lbs of chicken breasts a day).
LOL, don't ask about the food bill!
But once you get on the right path, the results triumph over the restrictions of foods.

I too struggle with fatloss. The only time that I have ever really been able to lose fat was when I was dieting hardcore AND working out twice a day (cardio in the mornings and weights in the evenings). Even then I only dropped about 15lbs and still weighed 250.
According to the electrical impedence scale my BF is about 30%. The caliper test and www.mybodycomp.com both say that I'm around 19-20%. I'd be happy to be around 15%.
So what is your new thing? About a month ago I decided that I was going to try running. I started out easy, but within a week I had retro calcaneal bursitis. That was the end of running for me. Now I'm eating horrible and not doing any cardio. Hell, I'm having trouble getting my lazy ass to the gym ever since we bought this house in May!
Chuck and I both are members of imboc and he comes to our monthly meets when he wakes up in time. I also met Beej at FFW with Chuck.
I've thought about coming up to workout with you and Got Boost? one weekend, but I'm afraid that you guys would kill me. :)

here is my deal.. i start cardio say walking. i get 15-20 min to a walk and im bored out of my mind.. so i stop. dont do it again... i have to have something keeping my interested. So im starting martial arts again. i trained for i think an hour last night and was TOTALY whooped.. the lat time i did martial arts was 200ish lbs ago and MAN can i tell the difference.. but i have a very good and patient teacher who is willing to take it at my pace and work around my back injury.
stangin. yup. diet is next.. im working on eating better for now and then trying to go super clean. i heard you are a pretty swole mother fucker yourself by the way.
right now would be a good time train with me and got boost. both of us are in very week conditions owing to recouping from injurys. i dont exepect you do do my weight. just my intensity.

How did you guys injure yourselves?

i was doing incline dumbell press with the 150s. i popped up one of the dumbells and was holding it ready to press while one of my partners gave em the other. well .. while he was getting it the 150 i had up began to wander around. it got kinda far from my body so i had to pull it back.. being 150lbs off balance put a strain on my obliqu and there ya go.

The intensity is what worries me. :) I've struggled with a rotator cuff for a couple of years now. That combined with the fact that I usually workout without a partner makes for some not-to-intense workouts. :D You guys would eat me for lunch!
When I lift I don't seem to gradually lose strength/energy. But once it goes, it's gone. As an example, Saturday I was doing bench heavier than usual. I did two sets of 8 easily but decided to ask a guy to spot me for the last set. I pumped out 7 strong reps, but on the 8th one the guy practically had to lift it off of me. I went from 100%-0% in one rep :(
Hell, WL injured will still lift more than I do healthy! But it would be nice to have a partner on occasion. One of these days I will actually make it over there. Not this weekend though, I'm heading to Austin for the weekend. I will have a workout partner down there though. I'm thinking that I might try for a new max on bench.

James Mouty frequents this board and I have seen him in a comp. weighing in at at around 185-190 and putting up 500+.
Strongest guy I ever met...lb for lb!
