I keep looking on the texas motorplex website for a November calender to see if they are running any more TNTs. They haven't posted up any events for Nov though, am I to assume that they are closed until spring?

Thanks alot guys.

Good question and when do the tracks close for good? Do any stay open year round? Weather permitting?

Take care

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, damn this PERFECT 75* weather outside.

Sucks. HRP in Baytown has TNTs every Friday and Sunday almost year round. Ennis should take note.

Off to Denton...:)

Shoot me a pm next time you go to denton. I'd like to race another 35th with n20. My best at ennis was a 12.2@116 so it should be a good race.

Actually I'm leaving the apt right now to head up there. Just look for my car- Red 35th with Bullitt brakes spinning like a mofo out of the hole.

Yep, big tracks are down...

Kennedale is open till December 18th - then closes to observe XMAS and New Years - opens back up after that

Racing on Sunday - Street cars (must be licensed and muffled)
Racing on Wed. - Test n tune
Racing on Thur - High school night
Racing on Fri - Friday night programs (Pro Mods, Bikes, anything goes, etc.)
Racing on Sat - Not aware of any - only Junior dragsters I think during day...

I dont understand why Ennis does not make a better effort to open more often. It seems like over the years they are staying closed alot more.

Its sad but Im setting up my car to run 1/8 mile. Their is no reason to put a taller gear in the car to run 1/4 mile these days.

Ennis sucks,

They are never open and when they are the damn rice boy swarm is sure to arrive shortly there after. No offense to quick imports but the slow fart can 16-18 second cars just mess it up.

I have recently tried Redline and love it! Even though it's just 1/8th mile.

I really don't get it. Wouldn't it be in their best interest to be open more to make more money? Every time I've been there for a TNT it has been packed.

Oh well, at least Denton is really nice.

Ennis has been pulling the "closed" card for years. I go there once a year to run the pontiac southern nationals and that's it.

Before the internet we towed down there in the middle of the summer only to find that they were closed  Since they weren't answering the phone as usual we didn't think anything of it before loading up and heading down there.

I'd much rather head over to denton or k-dale.

all ennis cars about is the big boys... they told us they opened one friday in sept so that we would set the new groove for the upcoming big events after the scraped the track and fucked it up. Nobody was getting traction and it was a waste of a night. At the end they came over the intercom and thanked everyone for helping set up the new track. Ennis doesnt care about anyone unless ur rich/sponsored car. I think the owner needs to sell the track or get new managers apparently whoever is running it no longer cares about the little guy... which is were drag racing started.
