Not sure where they are at...I was tired as hell of being in the heat and on my back all day. Thats a brace to help hold things in place on the car when you only have 2 hands to work with and need 4....I made mistake and left it on there. Ive used things like that in the past to keep them from banging on the car, but it was built with a rubber isolator in place. And to set it straight it was no where welded to the trans cross member...At least try to post real factual information, humpty dumpty.

My tune has never been an issue...Not sure how many times i have to state that...Tuning doesnt break ring lands. Ring gaps do. Whats so hard to understand? Everyone of my pistons are black as can be. A/F was in the low to mid 10's at all times. No tips were burnt off any of the plugs. Im still having a hard time seeing a tuning issue on saving ring lands....Maybe you can explain all mighty one how to tune save a a ring land with tight .010 ring gaps on a GM motor....Im sure ill be seeing a game of dogeball but the fat man can only move soo fast before he gets pelted...Sucks doesnt it, when you get knocked on your ass.

When i said it wasnt pump gas, im sorry running pump gas was not the issue. When ring gaps close up from high cylinder pressures there is not much you can do...Praying to Allah wont help. They will but togethe on the compression stroke and the pressure will force downwards on the rings causing the ring land to shatter. If you run a looser gap (like around your waist so when you bend over your britches dont rip) theres is more room for rings to contract and expand under high cylinder pressures. Tuning was on the money. The top ring on #3 cylinder was a cast stocker unit with an opened gap. The rest of the rings on all of the other cylinders were all low tension. The top one on #3 was broken when the piston was slide back into its hole from going to fast into the block and the compressor slipping off. I didnt want to wait another 2 weeks to get one ring for that hole. I have paid the price now. And we knew it was going to happen sooner or later.
Ls1's dont lean out on the front cylinders. Research them. #7 is the first to let go....Its towards the back of the intake that the cylinders run leaner. Once again, lean or tune was not the issue here. If you get on constipated and think straight at times you'd have a clearer train of though instead of clouding with ass gas.

Come take a peek under my hood and throughout my car, I didnt really have to fab up anything, but Ill tell you one thing, the wiring is soo clean you can eat off it. If i was doing a junk yard setup, the plumbing would still be super tight like prom night. You can count on that! No reason for me not to spend some time making me a custom merge into a flange them spending money on Flowmaster merge. You said junk yard and shit laying around in the garage in the same sentence. Its one thing to build on a budget, then its another to butcher up some work that everyone will see when you pop the hood. Just my way of building things. You either like it or you dont. Big difference chief....Its used to work with a catback exhaust...It also looks clean under the car. BUt using a Flowmaster merge to build a turbo kit...That shit is busted like your turbo setup and its welds. Turbo kits arent hard to build and a custom merge would have looked much cleaner than a bulky Flowmaster. FM have a purpose. To be under the car not under a hood.

Run any respectable times without blowing your shit up? You missed the cruise in March because your shit was blown up and you missed this last cruise for the same reason. Come on Mike, most people that have owned a car for more than three years figure out how to keep the motor together by then. Since you have Josh and company helping you wrench that heap of yours and Josh blows up more shit than anyone else on this board, that may explain a few things as well. You're poor mechanical decisions keep you sidelined more than racing. See you at the next cruise where I'm sure you will be posting blistering 11 second times in your daily driver hoopty because your Fireturd will be blown up again (of course after you fix the blown up motor in it now).
And after all of that, you open this thread to bag on another board member bragging about your Y-pipe with a Flowmaster collector only months after bagging on yet another board member about using a Flowmaster collector in his set up. Kinda pathetic....

How do ring lands break? Other then a tuning issue, explain to us exactly how they break? Can you do that Fat Man?You know what.... You obviously aren't understanding me or the concept of nitrous' ability to crack piston ring lands so I did a quick search on LS1TECH.COM and found no less than 8 threads that talk about ring land cracks while running nitrous. Here are a couple of the better threads that don't use big words.
Dry Kit and cracked ring lands (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398959&highlight=piston+ring+land+crack)
Nitrous and Cracked Pistons (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15531&highlight=piston+ring+land+crack)
Most other LS1 types seem to understand this concept and as much of a tuning god you profess to be, I can't understand why you don't. What's even more amazing to me is that I've never run nitrous and I get it! :p

You havent explained anything with your search feature. Most of those dumbasses cant even change their plugs over there.
A hyper junk piston will live, given the temp of the piston stays within a tolerable range, adn you ditch the stock cast rings for low tension setups. Like I said, you explain to me how ring lands break when its not a tuning issue, and the low tension rings are already installed. If it was a lean issue it wouldnt be number 3 on these cars. Run a search on that handy man. number 7 is the cylinder to go first when its lean. Come on, Old fart, im still waiting for a response from you bush beater.

Since you seem able to understand only over simplified and over exaggerated examples I’ll give you one that uses my car as the “victim”. In the following example I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt when you say your tune was “spot on”.
[Dense and Clueless Hat]
For the sake of argument, let’s say I have a fuel/EFI system that was tuned by god himself. Everything is perfect on it. And for arguments sake, let say the rest of my combo is like it is now. So knowing that my air/fuel ratio is perfect, I go to the track, crank the boost up to 30psi and spin the motor to 7800 on the shifts and it promptly splits the block down the middle and I’m running over pieces of the crank, rods and pistons just after half track. I’m dumbfounded! My air fuel ratio was perfect I profess loudly! I see no signs of detonation and I argue about it LOUDLY on the internet with all of the LS1 types that are giving me shit because I blew my motor up and yet I’m still wondering - Why did it blow up???
[/Dense and Clueless Hat]
Suddenly it is clear! My stock block, crank, rods and cheap forged pistons weren’t designed to take that kind of punishment even if my air/fuel ratio was perfect. Stock parts can only take so much junior.. My tune was too aggressive for my stock parts.
Now imagine for a minute I’ve done the above scenario three times this year alone and am now in another thread bragging about some work I did when only months earlier I was bagging on another memeber for using the same concept.
How much shit would you be giving me right now?
And Mikey, if you went out with the exact same tune on the same short block setup you just blew up, how long would it last? If you backed the nitrous tune down, how long would it last?

That is all I wanted to hear. This is something ive known for along time but wanted to creep up on to see exactly how much a stock piston would take. The problem is I never gave myself that option when I didnt wait for another ring to be sent in from Speed-pro. The A/F was way safe and the timing was too. Thanks for telling me something that we already know.
With that said, I found you a good thread to read up on for you to learn how to tighten bolts.
http://www.boltscience.com/pages/tighten.htm
And here you are talking about Relinquished and BatteryTamer yet you cant even tighten a freaking exhaust header bolt down. Isnt it IRONIC, dont you think?

Mike I know you'd like to believe that you are some kind of tuning god but face it - a tuning god wouldn't be on his third motor in less than a year.
This web site might be useful in helping you keep your next motor(s) together (http://www.tuninglinx.com/html/nitrous-oxide-tuning-0.html)
A book that might help you as well... (http://www.themotorbookstore.com/nitrous-oxide.html)
Which is worse? Blowing a header gasket because a bolt backed out or blowing up your motor because you put it together knowing it had a broken part?
The fact that you admit to putting your motor together with something you know is broken speaks volumes when it comes to your work ethic on cars. That and welding exhaust pipes to transmission cross memebers - still LMAO on that one! I have no doubt that these next motors you builld will list 3-4 months just like your last 4-5 have....

We took the broken one out and replaced it with a stocker that we had. I had one set of stock rings for one piston and I used the top ring out of the set. WOW...it must have been broken. Your such a GOD at being so ignorant. The motor made a fool out of your plenty of times, thats all that really matters to me. How many wins do you have against me?
Let's recap...
Denton, I jumped up in line next to and still had PT on my window and you complained. BUsted your ass on that pass.
Come to Redline, and get your ass DRUG.....It seems that you have yet to keep bolts tight because your fat ass had a intercooler pipe blow off....Loss number 2.
Number 3 didnt even get to race you because your pussy got infected and your shit loosened a botl and blew a header gasket. Oh wow....not another loose bolt on your heap. When it comes crunch time buddy, you fumble like a fat man with butter on his fingers.
Hmmmm.

You can't keep your car together long enough to prove anything.
