yeah it is well worth the money i have been playing socom since 1 was out and this is by far the best on ....the maps and weapons are awesome........if you guys do get it let me know your screenname and i will send you a friend invite......oh yeah plus you get to use a shit load of vehicles like tanks and boats.....

It's free. The max players in one room is 32 and there are over 80,000 people online evertime I have logged on.

I was lucky enough to get to beta test it for the ps2 it is a badass game. Even for a beta the graphics and game play were kick ass. I'll probably pick it up soon. Battlefield 2 modern combat should also be a game to check out if you like these types of games.

I played it a while back, it was fun, but I am more into the run and gun types, just blasting people away, and you have to be way too slow in that game for my tastes... still fun though. :)

You can run and gun if you have good aim and the right gun. In S3 you have to have the right weapon selection or your SOL.

I LOVE Socom3! I dunno even where to start I love the game so much! lol. It's not just a "run and gun" type shooter game. There is ALOT of strategy to the game and alot of thought to it. It's chess with guns. Be sure to get a head set so you can hear and talk to your teammates. If you get the game Jose, we can get a few DFWstangs people in one "room" and we can lock it down to keep everyone else out and we can teach you the finer points of the game. I learned the hard way just diving into online play and I got my ass kicked for several months on Socom2. But I would be glad to teach ya what I know, show ya around the maps and break ya in easy.

I'm in a clan called MoD (Methods of Death) which is basically a group of cool people that I play with on a regular basis and we play against other clans for ladder games and "wars" We don't allow little kids in our clan so we don't have to hear some little kid talking shit all the time.

SOCOM is crazy addicting, I hope you get hooked too!
