same here, but I also saw a N/T pass to. But I think he was making nothing but N/A passes tonight.
Fred you better get that thing running like it needs to be before I get mine going. :p Only lacking 2 more things I need to buy. Then its time to do the rearend and put the motor in there.

How did you do at the cruise? We didn't make it because we're going to Prescott next weekend. We ran a 5.49 last night at Redline. JD's car ran a 6.53 on motor last night on 11.50 ET streets. That's the motor that has your old heads on it.

well i had some issues the first pass, i guess my yr old plugs didnt feel like performing today so they took a shit on me, went and got new plugs and it woke up the car...ran a couple of 6.4's on motor... then they shut the track down at 4:30 so i thought i wouldnt be able to make another pass, but at 530 when they let the street cars run, i jumped in line and busted off a 5.88@116.91 with a 1.38 60ft...tried to make a couple more passes but da coupe and the track werent getting along...
but to answer your question, yes i finally did get my 5...:D

yea that was my biggest dissappointment of the day, i really wanted to do it in front of the dfw stangs crowd, this site is the only reason i built this car...i dont care if i make a penny back from it, i just love to race... :D

By chance did you guys see a Red LX hatch make any nitrous passes. I was back there with them at the end of the cruise and the car had a miss in the upper RPMS. We swapped to a non-projected style tip plug (NGK 8's) and drove it at the end of the track and the miss was gone. The car said Mikes Auto Service on the windshield I believe. Its got a 408 in it and they were gonna test the nitrous on 100 shot to see how it reacted. Miguel Murrillo is the kids name.

thanks everyone...Yea that was the car. He had some NGK 5672A-9's projected tips) in it and pulled me aside to see what the deal was. I asked what the plugs were and he said here's one right here. I looked at the gap and it was .050 :eek: I asked him if he had a gapper other then the one I borrowed and they didnt. But he did show me some 5671A-8's (non-projected) and I put them in right out of the box.
Thats flying for that car on 100 shot. :eek: I pulled 3 degrees on the box, they have 110 in the tank as well. He had all the MSD stuff on it and they thought they could get away with the gaps being wider on the plugs. Im curious though if it actually picked up any on the motor. He said the best they had run was like a 6.9 so far. That car will be in the 5's when he buys some real headers, and puts the 200 pills in it. I bet it picks up an easy .3 just swapping headers and exhaust. Hes got BBK's 1 5/8 primaries with 2.5" collectors on it! He's looking for some Kooks 1 7/8 stepped to 2" with 3.5" collectors now though and I told him id build him a X-setup for the cost of parts plus a little labor...Not too bad for a hydraulic 408 with Victor Jr heads....hell be down there running with your times in his street car. heehee

Yea, he did run a 6.30. He'll have to get by the little 302 block street car before racing Fred. :D

His car before this was much like Chris's old blazer....This mustangs suspension is setup. Id bet he goes straight with more power more so then you would. :cool:

6.47 on 100 shot, 6.33 on a 150 shot.
Nice guy. I enjoyed talking to him and cheering him on. To think all that work in the time he was there and the fucking plugs were to blame.
