ok..so i went to restore my computer the other night because my son got some crap on it i couldn't get rid of and itwould not let me complete the restoration. it pops up an error message "Application failed to initialize, windows station shutting down". system restore is enabled, it goes through some of the motions but not all. oh...also when i am browsing around the hour glass continually blinks beside the cursor all the time.

can somebody please shed some light on this for me please

My computer used to do that as well. (not completing the windows system restore)

Sounds like you need to re-format.
