I was told there is wireless internet at the airport, is this true? I have never taken my laptop with me, so I don't know for sure. What are the rules, and regulations? Sorry for all the stupid questions, but I have only flown once in the last 5 years.

In order to access Wi-Fi technology, a laptop or PDA must be 802-11a or 802.11b capable and equipped with a wireless access card. Travelers also must have an account with T-Mobile HotSpot or Wayport, which can then be easily initiated when their Web browser is launched from anywhere in the Airport’s terminals.
Its not free. Basically, you'll hit a 'hotspot' and it'll pop a page up in your browser asking you to make an account. I dont know what the charges are.

Must of been cool waiting on that flight. Last time I was at DFW waiting on a flight it was like 8 bucks an hour (That was in march last year though). I said screw that :D

I use the T-Mobile service, it's 29.95 for unlimited access, works in Airports, Book stores, and countless other places around the nation. I'm always on the road so it's worth it (posting this from the Salt Lake City Crown Room Club).
I think SAS and Lufthansa are now offering high speed in-flight satellite connections. Makes those 8h+ flights much more enjoyable for sure.
Neither service is free (at the airport nor in-flight) but if you're spending a lot of time in either then it is definately worth it.
