What do you expect when you have to hire a kicker in the middle of Camp? I thought he was actually just as good as he should have been considering. Is there anything out there available that is better? No.

i expect an nfl kicker to make 20 ish yard field goals.

Yeah, it was his fault we lost. It had nothing to do with poor play calling or a terrible throw from Bledsoe.

So do I, but are there any Kickers on the market that Can be more reliable than him? I doubt it.

I also disagree with the way Dwayne treats his Kickers. With such a "touchy" person as a kicker, a coach should try to show some kind of encouragement rather than doubt in such a person. Parcells has done nothing but doubt him all season very openly in Public.

Would Drew have throw that ball or would he have run the clock out if they
had 3 more points on the board?

he missed field goals and cost dallas games, there are many places to place blame, but he is one of them.

that is so great, if he did not miss the 29 yard fg, we would never had been in that position at the end of the game. He was always looking to blame someone when he missed, the holder, the snapper, he is a pos

If they had made a few more first downs, a few less penalties, and a few more completions, had better plays called, would the game had to depend upon a field goal?

Fair enough, but why only cut him? Why not fire the coach who was calling plays, why not cut Bledsoe?

Where does the madness end! LOL

Cortez wasn't the only reason they lost, but he damn well had a part in it. I'd have cut Bledsoe this morning, and let Romo run it the rest of the year.

And that's exactly why you're not an NFL coach. Bledsoe is not the problem (although the pass at the end was terrible).

Marcus, you are right- I'm not an NFL coach, and even I can see how terrible Dreadsoe is. He is a dinosaur just like Parcells. He's slow, has a weak-ass arm, and makes poor decisions. If he wasn't Parcells' butt-buddy, he wouldn't even be in the league. He is NOT the future. It's time to quit relying on old fucks to win ball games. The game is passing them by. What happens next year? Same old thing- find another QB who might have a year or two left in him, to patch up an offense and win a few games. It's getting old. Find some youth, and let them play.

I agree on a previous post that Bledsoe is not the future, but he is probably the best solution right now. I just wish Parcells would have let Romo and Henson play alot more last year towards the end. That way game experience would have shown what kind of QBs they might be.

If the Cowboys Defense hadn't folded at the end against the Redskins and Seahawks, we would be 6-1 and you guys would be all over Bledsoe's nutsack.

Bledsoe is not the longterm future but he still has a few solid years left. He's only 33 if I remember correctly. I give him another 2 solid seasons.

Anyways, back to the topic at hand. 29 yard field goals should be automatic in the NFL. Cortez was too inconsistent so doesn't bother me to see him go.

Fuck Bledsoe. The defense gave up ONE FUCKING TD! So I guess you ask the defense to throw a shutout every game, huh? When you hold the NFL's best offense to 13, you better fuckin' win. Marcus, you are a Bledsoe apologist, for whatever reason. He has been a peice of shit for every team he has played for. He starts fine, and at mid-year, he turns into a TURD! You're giving him 2 solid seasons starting when? He doesn't have 1 yet. Twice inside the twenty, and he leads them to 3 fucking points! Last in the division...

bledsoe was the best rated passer in the division going into the game, i don't know about afterwards. cortez makes the field goal, bledsoe doesn't throw the crucial pick. bledsoe is the one of the reasons we've done alright this year, after primarily our defense. he isn't the long term answer as mentioned above but he's pretty decent for the time being. you think he called all those run plays inside the red zone and it was his fault they came away with a big 3?? better look elsewhere on that one. yeah, he did make that one shitty play that everyone is mentioning, but it's not like cortez missed one field goal that was costly this season, and got cut. he's missed a few and needed to go.

redskins monday night game although williams got burned a couple times would have not been a factor had the "standard" kicks been made, and then again with the seahawks game... Cortez has missed other routine kicks that have cost points and the Cowboys havent lost by that many in any game that we've not won... so we deserve a better kicker. You guys can call all day that play calling and this and that would have scored us 6 instead of 3 but.. when three is all you can get you damn sure better have it in the books especially from 35 yards or less..

Bledsoe is fine...with all the time in the world. ANY NFL QB is awesome with no pressure on him. Now that there is a little pressure, he folds like a paper cup. We'll see as the season goes on, but I'm sticking by my guns. He holds the ball WAY too long, and sacks don't count towards his "passer rating". He's a loser, and proved it Sunday.

I disagree. I think the Defense has been the loser. They have been playing great for 3 quarters of football. Then come 6 minutes left in the 4th, they committ penalties and give up BIG plays. This happened against the Redskins, Giants (luckily we came away with a win), and Seattle.

All things considered, I think Bledsoe has done a good job this year.

I think Drew needs to throw the ball to tight end Dan Campbell more (my wife's first cousin so I had to give him some props). :)

Go Cowboys!
