I'm down from 250 -228 by just changing my eating habbit's and hitting a few weights here at the house. I really need to get back into a gym. THere are no gym's in my area, but downtown is not far and i have been looking at 24hr fitness, but i'll be gawd damned if I am going to pay damn near 300 for the first month. thats just rediculous. I remeber i could pay like 25 at texas gym for the whole year. does anyone have insight as to what i should do? anyother gym that doesn't stick it to you like 24 hr? does anyone have a hook at 24 hr that could get me a rate that is not going to cost an arm and a leg?
Thanx in advance.

Glad to hear you finally got off you ASS! lol j/k If your looking to just drop a few pounds i would continue eating right and add in a little cardio to get your heart rate up and i think you will see a big difference. 24 hr is kinda high

if you have the money pay it up front. i paid ~$600 for 3 years up front and it included some multivitamins and meal replacement shakes. maybe something else but i dont remember.. averages to be a little less than $20 a month and now ill be paying ~$100 a year come february '06

That is the best way to do it if you know that you will be working out at that gym for several years and if you have the cash.
24 Hour fitness cost me like $150 initially and $30 a month. Not a VIP membership but it's also not that every other day crap. You pay for the first and last month then a membership fee.

I could do the 150 initially, but they add a bunch of application fees and bullshit that adds up to 300.

Walk in there at the end of the month.Tell the salesperson that you are willing to pay "X" dollars down and "X" dollars a month. And thats it.If they accept good,If they give you any hesitation get up and walk out.I promise you they will follow you trying to get you to come back.By the time you hit the door they will have agreed to your prices..i did that.i told them i would Pay $100 down and $25 a month and no more.Guy said i cant do that.Without missing a beat i got up and started walking out.he was throwing other offers at me while I was alking out the door.By the time i got home I had 2 voicemails with one saying he would agree to what i said...This is 24hr by the way...if you go towards the end of the mth they are trying to get sales numbers.

Hey man try the Duncanville Athletic Club. They are smaller then 24 and Bally's but it's alot cheaper and they can work with you on your down payment. Ask for David he can get you going and do whatever it takes to get you in for a good price. ;)

I'm on my 4th month and haven't seen the extra $150 yet.

oak point recreation center in plano for me : [
its cheap but certain times of the day are way too busy. not really the best place for weights since its all machine equipment. i just like the indoor track and bball courts.
Jet, all of the "application fees" are their commissions and are 100% negotiable. Tell them what you will pay and stick to your guns and they will take it. I been at 24 hour fitness for 7 years and I pay $17 a month.

yes, but combine this with a good fat loss supplement (alcar, manscorch, man vaporize) and you'll probly easily get down to 210 or somethin like that.

They're all gonna fuck you on the front end.
