Its when its late at night when not to many people are on the road. I pull up to the redlight and it will not trigger to turn green  I guess its the weight or something. But sometimes I have to turn right on the road and then make a U.
damn i hate that, soory but I bet it happens to yall to. But I love everything else about riding :D

Usually it's magnetic. They sell a device that attaches somewhere to the bottom of your bike that can help trigger it. If there is no traffic, I just run the light :D

I might need to get that device. No running redlights for me, I don't need no more tickets and no licences yet :o

Fuck all that. I usually run it. If I dont feel comfortable running it, Ill get off the bike and walk over to the crosswalk and hit the button there. That will make it change. Cops around here are hardcore

I used to run them. A motorcycle officer would probably understand. I don't know if most officers are aware of the issue.

I have not tryed it because I usaully just run it, but I have heard on other bike forums to put your kickstand down cause most of them are steel and the sensor will pick up on it were as an aluminum frame wont do shit for a magnetic sensor. Might try that first before buying the device.

and wheelie through it. If you do a monster burnout and fill the intersection with smoke you can run it and never be seen :D

there are big metal detectors under the pavement, and bikes normally don't register. i had the redlight thing, basically a big magnet, but it didn't seem to work for me. i'm pretty sure you're allowed to run it if you're cycle was skipped 3 times and there is no cross traffic. there was one turn lane on my way to work that would never change unless there was a car there. no cameras, so i just ran it all the time. not like anybody was on the road at 5:30am.

I use to live in the colony and had to ride down 121 every day. I had to run lights all the time at night on that road. Just look both ways its no big deal.

I run them all the time...I got use to it so much ..I got pulled over once...Cop asked me .."why did I pull you over" and I was dead serious..I go "I really have no idea" ...I wasnt joking either...finally he told me ..and I was ooooo yeah you got me ...I was sitting at it for over 3 mins and my bike wont trip it ...he goes ya ..I figured as much..then says ..reason why I did this though was cause I was right behind you ..I just laughed and so did he ..he let me go ..and said just make sure you look for us next time...and I went along my way..

I have the little magnetic box on my bike...bought it on Ebay for next to nothing. It works at about 75% of the traffic lights I had problems with before. I run the others. The sensors that are embedded in the pavement at intersections are usually not sensetive enough to detect a motorcycle even though they are supposed to be when installed by the city. The city won't replace them unless it becomes a problem for cars. I have seen some cops hide near the intersections with problems so they can pull over bikes...knowing that the biker will have to run the light...usually late at night. F***in dicks.

if the light is timed just wait, if you pull up and there are those strips in the ground, drive directly over one of them centering your bike over it. i had that same problem when i first got my bike, ever since i started stopping on one of the strips in the road the light has been changing for me

i didnt say block or even cross the line, the sensors in the ground start at the white line and are about 2 car lengths long
