anyone seen the pics of the new R6? Seems everyone's now putting the pipes under the tail and Yamaha comes out with a short pipe/can. Kinda has a drag-bike look to it. I like it.

I don't know. just saw this first pic of the '06 GSX-R 600 and it looks pretty sweet, and has the same kind of pipe.

Ya just can't out-nail the design of the 04+ R1, it'll take another generation of the same bike to do that IMO.

They shoulda gave the 06 R1 the Stubby exhaust treatment.

I don't like the underseat exhausts. They cook your butt and you have no truck space. I know, I know but, I like underseat space. :p :D

underseat exh is HOT!! I have customers that get them coated just to deal with the heat. I would wrap it too

ya i'd say my 04 was toasty in the seat, but i'd fight it w/ coating/wrap just to keep the lines of the bike but thats just me :0)

The GSXR looks nice, just don't care for those damn turn signal mirrors  The FZ1 has some nice improvements bringing it closer to the R1 in terms of performance. I'm kinda digging the new stubby exhaust.

Not sure about the heat but I couldn't see how it couldn't get hot. I've seen Adam's trunk  on his R1 and I agree it's pretty small. Not to mention anything you put in there will at least get toasty warm if not worse.

Is it mostly an issue with the stock exhaust or did aftermarket pipes have the same problem?

<--------- Wouldn't mine owning an R1 :D

if you can imagine an even smaller trunk than the new R1, check out a 1000RR, its retarded small; to small for a wallet I think.

too bad that color is only on the Euro model  still the baddest looking bike out now, i dont care what you say. The new GSXRs look fugly IMO, they just dont have the right lines, almost like 3 people in different states designed different parts of the bike and then put them together as best they could. Im sure its fast as fuck, but the bike is only as fast as you make it. Plus I like being able to actually tell the difference between bikes other then color schemes.
