Didn't feel like searching and would like feedback from guys who actually knew me as well (gotboost, feldmonster etc)

I've recently got back/started working out (all be it light for now) and want some suggestions pointers on what I need to do for the goals I want to attain.

First is cut body fat, I know the standard eat better and cardio. Any other things I should look into?

Right now I'm working out 4-5 days a week at the facility at my office and am doing mainly shoulders/arms/chest exercises and then getting on the bike and pushing myself pretty hard for 30 mins every work out.

There are free weights but I've very in experienced in that respect and wouldnt' want to do anything non benefical because of form and hurt myself etc.

So anyone feel free to comment/add suggestions on some things I may want to try.

I'd like to cut fat, I know I need to start an ab workout but God damn I hate abs, and I'm pretty happy with my legs as it is. I can't do much lifting/squatting because of bad knees. So mainly arms/shoulders/chest and then the midsection. Feel free to rip/suggest anything guys.

Suggest any suppliments or anything of that nature as well.

I'd definitely invest in a heart monitor if you're looking at cutting down the fat. The ones on the bikes etc aren't really that accurate. It's all about the Target Heart Rate.

Lifting free weights burns a considerable amount of calories too. Its not all about cardio. If you're wanting to obtain a nice physique, you have to lift wieghts or you will look like a stick. I almost never do cardio, just alot of lifting, and i have a pretty nice physique...5'10, 187.5 at about 9% b/f. I think lifting actually burns more calories than does cardio in some instances.

Jogging builds stamina. Allows you to get your heart rate up and sustain it longer.

Eating better won't cut it. Eating "GOOD" will help a lot. I'm only taking in about 1200-1300 calories a day with about 15g of total fat a day. I'm also lifting for about 45 minutes and cardio for 15. At night, if I'm watching TV and a commercial break comes on I do a quick 30 of those things where you do crunches while peddling your legs for 30 reps, then a quick 10 pushups. Takes about 30 seconds total. Just do it periodically during commercial breaks.

Doing abs has very little to do with burning fat. Clean up your diet, count your calories, and keep up the cardio.

I know it has very little to do with burning fat, but that by far is the weakest part/needs the most work. I am counting calories more and more and I have cut out cokes completely. I drink one glass of either orange juice or apple juice with breakfast then it's water the rest of the day for liquids.

Thanks for all the input guys.
