When someone sees my helmet/jacket on my desk at work and then proceeds to ask the question "Did you ride the bike today?" I've started to tell them ... "No. I drove the car and needed the helmet because of all the crazy drivers."

I had someone drive-by and hit me in the head (helmet on of course) with a quarter while I was stopped at a light once. I looked back at them and made sure they saw me pick it up and put it in my pocket.

Riding with some friends.... it was only the 3rd time I had ridden this particular BMW motorcycle... anyways... while stopped at a light my friend thinks it would be funny to get off his bike...run up and turn off the ignition on the BMW I was on. Little did I know that he had flicked a tiny little switch next to the ignition button. This "switch" is unique in design to BMW's and I haven't seen one like this on any other brand of bike. Took me about 3 min. of panic to find it!! Meanwhile big rigs are flying past me at 45-50 MPH. I was pissed!

I'll post more when I think of them.

LOL never had a quater thrown at me.

What pisses me off is I try to wave at EVERY other motorcycle I see on the road.

1 out of every 30 wave back

most are harleys and non gear wearing squids who are afraid of letting go of the clip-ons.

I hate that. I normally wave at every rider I see and maybe only half the time get a wave back.

lmao, so what was the switch for?

Basically the same thing that you find on a Jap bike, but it's attatched to the ignition button and is really inconspicuous.

I wave at everything on two wheels. A couple times I've had some guys on harleys pass me while I was up on one and I would knod my head when I go by and they would throw a waive. lol

People i dont wave at:
1. Guys on Harleys- cause 90% of the time they dont wave back.
2. People on scooters- cause most of the time their in their own little world and dont notice anything, and its embarrassing.
3.Guys on Honda Goldwings- cause i really dont consider it a motorcycle.

I'm going to have to call bullshit on the Harley riders not waving. I have been waved at by every Harley rider I have seen.

Ok I will rephrase my statement.

75 % of non helmet wearing Harley riders will not wave back.

Its not really funny, its a logical and practical way to get from point A to B.
But what is funny is some one riding one in full leather gear.....lmao

none of the harley/crusiers wave at me :( . One day I was falling my friend and he is on his Honda VTX 1300 and all the other harley/crusiers wave at him but none of them wave at me :D. Hmmmm no love for the sport bikes I guess.

From what I have always heard from the bikers that I hang with is that most of the crotch rocket riders dont wave at them...............I am sure that both are true. I hear from a lot of dipshit riders from each side saying that one is better than the other. I couldn't give two shits about what you ride. It is the uninformed dipshit rider that can't apreciatte beauty in every form. I love a chopper screaming loudly down the street, but I also love a rocket throwing a wheel up. True riders will ride anything...............even fat girls. :D

Whats so fucking funny?

Normally the 100lb skinny dude with coke bottle glasdes riding a moped with an old school open face helmet, or the 300lb man riding his with the canvas top so he thinks no one can see him. I would ride a moped too....just not in public. I'm not that pressed for money yet.

Me too. When I used to own a Harley I would wave to anyone. Now that I have a Honda the Harley people still wave.

Ive had both ppl on rockets and cruisers not wave back, its all just whats goin through they're head i guess. My fav is when im in uniform on my way to/from the base and ppl w/ " support our troops" stickers almost sideswip me then they see the BDU's and have this stunned look on their face. I just shake my head and keep on goin.

I found that Harley riders would not initiate the wave and would rarely return the wave so after a while I quit waving. I would always return wave if waved to. Most sport bike riders will wave or return wave. Fortunately, I never had an incident while riding (no one threw quarters at me). The thing that ALWAYS seemed to happen is dipshit drivers do not hold their line through double left turns. Had to lay on the horn often.
