Anyone know anybody out there that has an older sport bike that runs good and is willing to sell for around 1000. The bike needs to be insurable and have a title.

Good luck with that! For a grand you need to just get something running and in good shape, which would be something like a 70's-80's "standard" cruiser. An older single cylinder 4 stroke enduro wouldn't be too bad either.

might be able to find a katana or 600r..I dont think you'll find anything nice for that price range.

I've seen some fairly nice f2's for 1200-1500, just wondering if any here knew anyone that needed some cash.

i got an F2 for 1100, with probably only about 25k on it, put about 400 or so in it now to streetfighter it. Everyone i know that rides thinks its pretty sick, and I feel pretty good knowin g im not losing thousands in a new bike. For the most part this thing performs better than half of everyone on sportbikes can ride it out there anyway. LOL :D

a guy i know got a late 80's FZR600 for $1000 with 9000 original miles :cool:

Thats a good deal if its clean.I sold a 89 Hurricane 600 a few years ago with 6000 miles for 2k easy.I should have held out and got $2500
