Don't do it. It will sound like a friggin coffee can exhaust. Helped someone do it on there's and man it sounded crappy. I think it is welded too.

I did baffles in my R1 and trust me its definately worth it, especially with any decent slipons for my bike being about $750+. I really dont know much about the cans on Suzukis, they are the ones looking at the back of me usually :p seriously though, if nobody here knows, check out gixxer.com and ask. If you need help with the process once you find out how to do it, let me know. I have alot of leftover fiberglass from doing my race baffles

what kind of bike? mine was rivited and welded and Im completely happy with it. If your ass shows up at MSR youll get to hear plenty of it

EDIT: Oh shit, I think I realize that this guy just wants to gut his exhaust all together. In that case, DONT DO IT!!!!!! If you want to replace the baffle with a straight thru type then fine, but fuck please dont gut it completely

lol yeah that was my intention. it sounded fine with the pipe off just comming out the midpipe(idleing of course) with the muffler off so i figured it would sound the same but quieter. i guess from yalls replies im wrong. is there another way to make it louder without making it sound like ass till i get the $850 for a full race system?

Yes what you did sounds good. My cousin did the same thing you did to yours. But yeah he just wants hollow can which will sound kinda funky.

do what I did and get a race baffle and replace the stock shit with it. it will sound great and only cost around $40.

Are you set on getting a rull race system? I know there are good deals on just slip-ons. Maybe $250.

Yeah. Go take a look at that stock header. They are pretty good stock and a race one won't do just a whole bunch I wouldn't think.

doesn't slowvert50 just have a slip on? How does his sound. Cause after I hit the 600 mile mark I'm thinking about doing the slip on myself. Just mainly to get a better sound, it just sounds to weak :(.

I'm not sure about where the good prices are but I would look into a Yoshimura. I think they work best on the suzukis.

Dunno about the GSXR but here is a guide how to remove the stock baffle on a Superhawk. Might help you out or give you an idea how to do yours.
