I need to get a temporary part time job working evenings and/or weekends in the south Ft Worth or Arlington area. Any ideas? I work in auto parts during the day, but I'll take just about any job that has reasonable pay and doesn't involve anything illegal.

I wish I knew how to make drinks. I guess it couldn't be that hard, there's a cheat sheet I'm sure.

How did you get started? I'd be interested, but I've never done it.

Every chick that I've known that's a bartender either lies about previous bartending experience, or has big boobs and gets trained.

Pizza delivery has supplimented my income in the past. Easy work, usually average 12-16 an hour. Choose the location wisely though, ie: not the ghetto or an area with alot of apartments.

Do you know of any in the garland, Richardson, Plano area that are hiring for weekend, my wife is a stay at home mom and just wants something to get her out of the house for a while, she has 5 years experience.

I got lucky and my friends bought a bar. Before that i was an alcoholic and knew how to make drinks. They showed me the rest, and taught me a few things. DO NOT go to a stupid ass bartending school. Biggest waste of money.

I'd say something like Best Buy as a part time job would be the shit. I hated it full time, but I did work there part-time for a few weeks and it was actually fun. I think they pay pretty well for the most part. You should be able to make over $11 to goof off all night.

I would also second the Home Depot/Lowes comment. I just don't think I could be that nice to clueless bitches that don't know what kind of lightbulbs they need but "look like those over there but a little smaller and not quite as round"

You could give away free residential alarm systems.
Average payout is about $125-175 per sale. Alarm companies (like ADT, Brinks, Monitronics, Protection One) give away cheapy alarm systems in turn for a monthly monitoring contract. It usually requires going door to door, but its successful!

Oh ya, and evening/weekends is when most homeowners are home ;)

He's too good to deliver pizza's. He and I discussed this in another thread. But yes, sometimes my roommate will bring home around $120-130 working about 6 hours on Saturday nights. Usually averages around $75 other nights he works.
