Very Interesting read but quite long. Thought the comparison between Jesus & Muhammad was interesting.

Appreciate the link that was interesting, although I feel there are a few errors in the comparision between Jesus and Mohammad. Not sure but I believe that Islam has quite a few more followers than Christianity, in fact it is the fast growing religion in the world. And also, I was told, need to look for myself, that Mohammad was actually illiterate and had a scribe follow him at all times and recorded what he said.

Don't take my word for it though....I am researching as of now.

Good Article.

I don't know if islam has more followers, because all none-muslim people that live in countries that muslims are the majority, live in fear of their lives, unless that pay the humiliation tax, the Jizyah.

Very interesting, I knew only small bits and pieces from what my Pastor has said in sermons, but he never went into such detail like in this NPR article.

And all this time, I thought NPR was filled with a bunch of Liberals wacko's that don't live in reality.

The problem is not a Christian - muslim problem.

Everywhere that Muslims live near or next to non-Muslims there are problems. It does not matter if those non-Muslims are Catholics, or Protestants or Greek or Russian or Serbian Orthodox. It does not matter if they are Sephardic Jews or Ashkenazi Jews. It does not matter which caste of Hindus they belong to, or whether they are members of a scheduled caste at all. It does not matter if they are Theravada Buddhists or another kind, or if they are Confucians, or if they are agnostics or atheists or anything else, as long as they are not Muslims. Living in proximity to Muslims anywhere in the world presents an enormous complex of problems for non-Muslims, for their safety, and for their way of life.

There are approximately twice as many self-identified christians as there are muslims in the world, and together they represent roughly half of the total population.

Islam started as a pagin religion... the religion of the moon god...that is why they pray to mecca...this religion is riddled with contradicitions and not even extreme and non-extreme muslims can agree on the pivit points of the religion.. There is only one true way to God, and that is through the Son, Jesus Christ. Not even the muslims can deny Christ walked the earth. Those who believe in islam will be lead astray and decieved...

Do you mean Yah (Jah)?

The moon god Yah?

allelu = praise

yah = god

As in "(h)allelu-yah!"

Yah = the moon. II Chronicles and Ezekial make interesting reading on the subject.

Every time you say it you are in effect giving praise to the moon.

Where do you think YHWH (YHVH) comes from?

If you attempt to dispute this, however, you immediately nullify the idea that alla = yah.

Can't have it both ways. If the Muslim Allah is synonymous with the Babylonian Yah, then Yahweh is the same Babylonian subordinate to El, who stole his consort Asherah.

Mythology can be a bitch!

Sorry, reply was to deucestang's comment. Although it works both ways; see II Chronicles (ch 33?) and Ezekial (ch 7-9?). If Allah is a manifestation of the moon god, then so is Yahweh.
