I'm digging this R6. I've never had a bike that was a tooth down but, man it makes this thing a blast to ride.
I also had a problem with it riding rough that thing was STIFF and not handling good in some light curves that had bumps. Very nerve wracking. So I adjusted the rebound and comp up front and the compression in the rear. So far so good but, I need to take it out on the GP to confirm my settings and make adjustments. But for normal riding to work, it feels much better. :)

Heck yeah if its to stiff it will freaking bounce all over the place. I have to run the compression on my forks full soft.

Hey JC,
Alot of racers(such as myself), like our bikes set up very hard. Maybe that comes from the fact that when we started racing suspension was a lot stiffer than it is now, and thats what we're used to. But, on a bike set up softer, I am a slow MF'er! It just doesn't feel right. But if the bike is set up like I am used to, then it just feels like it's on rails.
Could be that the guy you got it from was like me and liked it that way. Some people ride faster at different settings.
Now, with that said, a nicely set up suspension for the street(slower corners) is crap on the track! Once you get up to speed on the track, that suspension set up may just turn out to be perfect. Which is another reason it's tough to go back and forth with a bike from street to track. Race set up is junk on the street, and street set up is junk on the track. But you have to remember, there aren't as many bumps on the race track as there are on the street.
On my Ducati(street bike), my suspension is very stiff! But, thats what I'm used to. You would probably hate riding my bike.

Nick, yeah I've already thought about that. I have my settings written down, I would use the Street GP circuit to get an inbetween settings for Street/Track, write that down and then make it stiff when i go do a track day and then write that down.

You've been on 157, and you've been to Cresson. They are nothing alike. In fact, they are complete opposites. What works on one, will not work on the other.
Your smart to write everything down.

I know. They are totally different. hahahaha I need another bike. Maybe I should sell one of my cars? ;) That's an idea.
I have the mustang and the Accord. I could sell the Stang for another 1000 for the street. :D

I didn't make any changes to my suspension at the track. Maybe I have found a happy medium?

Or maybe you can go faster on the track with a different set up?

I put a zip tie on my front forks with the full soft setup and they aren't even close to bottoming out. It didn't feel that soft to me at the track. I know its one stiff mofo on the street. My pictures are coming in mail on a disk and I will post them so you can take a look.
I could def. feel those bumps at the end of one. :o
