I was looking at the F4i 600 like yall said, but I found a pretty good deal on a 04 GSXR 600. Only 1300 miles all stock $5495. I thought that was a decent price. I need to call them to find out if there is anything wrong with it though, but its at a dealership.
what do yall think? The 02 F4i are going for around $5700 with around 8-10K miles. Now mind you this is my first bike and I have never ridden a bike before. I only want a 600 no bigger.

whitesmoke picked up an 05 for his first bike, he picked it up and ran with it.
he learned how to ride on it.
i think hes got 1k miles on it so far.

Very good price but don't get your hopes up. For a dealer to sell a bike that cheap is insane.

also I found a 01 R6 for $4995 with 12K miles (i think its all stock, not for sure on that one though) on it at another dealrship I thought about looking at. It seem like the F4i are kinding of holing there value. they are alitle higher.
edit its a YZFR600 if that makes a difference

that makes a huge diffrance
the YZF600R and the R6 are totaly diffrent bikes. 600R weights more and looks worse and it a lot less stable in the corners.

i bought my first bike last year.. its a 04 gsxr 750.
i bought it new, and practiced around my house ( new housing area= lots of roads.. no traffic) starting and stopping for a long time before i even got over 40 mph..
just be careful, use your head, wear your gear, and respect the bike's abilities and you should be fine. and of course watch out for other idiots

The gixxer is a great bike if you can respect the power. The Yzf600...dont look into it if you really want a 100% "crotch rocket" yzf is heavier, sitting position isnt the same..etc. My first streetbike was a gixxer 600, but I've ridden dirtbikes since I was 12. If you can realize that bike will do more than you have the skill to make it do, you'll last a little while on it.

damn the bike was sold for that price they said and nothing was wrong with it :( . I guess I need to look some more than, looks like I might get the Gixxer instaned of the F4i since those are more expensive.

I started on a F4, sold it and got a 929 because I thought I needed the addidtional power.. Mistake.. I think I had more fun on the 600 because I could actually punch it through all the gears and they seem to handle better.. I loved that F4!! The 929 was awesome, don't get me wrong, but it just seemed like the 600 was easier to bang through gears and carve the corners.. Just my .02..

screw the 929, thats just way to much for me :D. I know my limits, thats why I'm keeping my crazy ass speeds for the race car at the track.
I just would like alittle 600 for around town, save alittle on gas and have fun at the same time. I rarely get to take my ski out so thats why I want to sell it and get the bike.

Because they will have a contest to see who can screw the customer out of the most money they can, and you will be in the "contest".

Yeah, you SOLD them a bike. Be VERY glad they didn't sell YOU a bike.
I know a guy that works there. That's all I'll say.

For that price of the GSXR 6, I would get it. The gix has a lot more power than the F4i and they both can get up to 50 mpg.

I would have but it sold. I think I'm going to try and get a new GSXR next week. i like the $99 a month payment thing :D. Once the jetski sells or gets payed off then I will work hard on paying the motorcycle off. That all depends if they will give me one or not.

But all I need is less than 1 year at $99 and then I will refiance(sp) it to get it payed off alot sooner. But I just need to go up there on Monday to see what they can do for me.
