After all the shit I've taken from you guys for riding this scooter to work, now that I've said something about selling it to upgrade to a newer scooter, I've had more emails and PM's than I can count. Everyone wants to know how much I'm selling it for, and when they can come look at it. :D :D

I guess the saying is true. Riding a scooter is like F'ing a fat chick, it's alright as long as your buddies don't find out :D:D:D

I do have the motorcycle endorsement. But, only because I ride a motorcycle too. I'm not sure if you need it or not. I really don't think you need it. But you may want to contact the DMV or a motorcycle dealer to find out for sure.

I'm selling the scooter for $500.
It's an 85 Honda Aero 80cc 2 stroke. 4700 miles on it. Runs like brand new. A few paint chips and such, but it's 20 years old, so don't expect anything magnificent.

what kind of MPG do these things get? I was looking at the Burgman Scooters on Suzuki website, but they do not list MPG in the specs.

I don't know for sure. They say anywhere from 70mpg to 100mpg. I'm figuring it out on this tank that I'm on right now.
I filled up, and I've rode about 30 miles so far, and the needle is just now coming off of the full line. It's a 1.5 gallon tank :D So, if it keeps going like this, it looks like 100mpg will be correct.

I'm pretty sure you need the motorcycle endorsement to ride it on the streets.

I don't know Jose. It's not considered a motorcycle until 125cc's. So, you may not have to have an "M" endorsement on it.

I was wrong. Looks like you may need to have the "M" endorsement. But, it looks like it's just a written test for a moped only.

TRC §521.225.

MOPED LICENSE.

(a) A person may not operate a moped unless the person holds a driver's license. An applicant for a moped license must be 15 years of age or older.

(b) The department shall administer to an applicant for a moped license a written examination relating to the traffic laws applicable to the operation of mopeds. A test involving the operation of the vehicle is not required.

(c) An applicable provision of this chapter relating to a restricted Class M license applies also to a moped license, including a provision relating to the application, issuance, duration, suspension, cancellation, or revocation of that license.

Top speed I've had it up to is about 43mph. But it is real unstable. Top speed that feels pretty safe is about 38mph. Hauls ass up to about 30mph, then kinda loses some of it's stream and slowly get up to about 38mph. All in all, it takes about 8 seconds or so, to reach 38mph. Not bad for a scooter.

I think anything over 50 cc's is supposed to have an M license to ride on the street.

This was also my impression.
