Currently a local temp agency has been looking for well over 100 positions to be filled due to the hurricane. I work at the Verizon Wireless NOC center and can vouch for the amount of outages and destroyed sites. We still are working to recover over 200 out of the original 400 outages we suffered.
The info I have gotten so far sounds like the positions may be to support Sprint PCS as they are calling for Nortel Networks trained individuals, but I am sure they will take anyone willing to work the time and has some communications experience. We normally take ex-military communications people or former wireless employees. I hear that due to the Gulf Coast recovery they are looking to dispatch local cell techs to the hard hit areas and need temp replacements to fill the holes in field opeartions that will be left here in Texas and surrounding states of the Gulf Coast Region.
I am attaching the link for you guys to check it out. I got this info from a friend and am not directly connected to this company.

I am simply posting this up and am not planning on monitoring it or answering any questions because what I have posted is all I know about this.
