For anyone who is interested the U.S. Postal Service is signing up people to take the Tractor Trailer Operator exam for the City of Fort Worth, Texas area, anyone who is intersted can sign up at the USPS web-site.

the dates you can sign up are from 8/29/2005 thru 9/11/2005

cool thanks for the posting on that one ! Says i got a 100 score on the exam, guess that puts me in with 100 others or so.

thats not bad, guess the post office does take care of people. Hopefully i will get on with them if not i think im about to go otr on trips to canada.

Today is the last day to sign up for the test.

Its not a OTR job all those jobs are contracted out to contractors, it will be local. You are now put on the list. i took this test week ago i believe so the good part is your on the list.

Yes, you are correct this position is not OTR... but there pay is great for it to be local driving. I would hate to have a job being away from home.
I will try post later as far as what there start pay is.

start pay should be around 18/hr.

My dad is maxed out around 24/hr but gets as much over time as he wants. He reached his base pay for the year at the end of July.

Do you have to have a certian amount of experience? My dad has about 6 months experience and wants something local.

when i went up there they wanted at least 2 yrs, but it may be different now...

Thats good, if you dont fail the screening and drug test you should get a job.

When you got the application how soon did you have to return it? and have you heard back from them since you applied? Just curious.

I got mine in while i was away doing work in ms,by the time i got home it said that it had to have already been turned in. Oh well thats what i get for trying to do the right thing and help out and save lives.
