About to make an offer, wanted to see what others thought before making the offer though.

2004 ZX10R for sale with extras. Black. 5000 miles. Kawasaki extended warranty through 2009.

Kawasaki "kit" cams, head gasket, and ECU. PCIII usb with custom map and Dynojet Quickshifter. KLEEN system removed. BMC race air filter. Engine is safety wired. 15 tooth front sprocket with longer EK gold race chain.

With all those mods I'd say at least 9,500- 10k. That bike has a lot of money in it.

Not a huge 10R fan myself, but that one couldn't have been done more 'the right way' looks like, lots of nice over the coutner stuff on there. I'd deff buy it.

I wouldnt go over 9....riding season is almost over, if he wont do a price under 9, screw it, you can find another here in the next two or three months thats a better deal

But it won't have half the goodies on it that one does. Those are mods that matter too not just a bunch of crappy appearance mods.

I'll sell ya mine for $7500, 10,000 miles......runs and drives perfect. Polished wheels and exhaust can, clear Euro's, Double bubble undertail and will have a new set of race take off's by the end of the week...... :D

screw that guy. You WILL find a better deal in the off season. If you don't want to ride until next year, wait until christmas time. People always sell off their toys to get extra money for christmas, and not a whole lot of people are looking to make such big purchases at christmas so your playing field is in your advantage. As long as you have cash in your hand... they'll drop their price and take your cash.

You guys are a bunch of idiots. You are actually thinking he's gonna sell that bike for $9k or under? You can get a stock 10R for $9k. Maybe not an '04, so say like $8-8.5 depending on condition. That old rule about bikes that mods dont increase price, thats more focused on bullshit stuff like an M4 slip-on or some frame sliders. Like if your bike is worth $6000 and you add $250 to the price because of your exhaust and sliders, thats stupid. But lets take a look at what we have here:

PCIII- $250
DJ Shifter- $250
BMC- $70
Safety Wiring- $50ish
Chain/CS- $100
Speedohealer- $100
Akra Evo- $1400
Forks- $2200
Shock- $1000
Damper- $500
Rearsets- $400
Clipons- $150
Brake Upgrades- $800ish
Screen- $50

thats the major mods, I didnt include the bullshit stuff like stompgrip and sliders. So that with say an $8500 bike.... comes to about $16000 invested. You think this guy is going to sell for $9000? shit you people are ignorant. Hell, just to make it more fair since the parts are used, take about 30% off the retail of the mods and see what that comes to... $5124 in mods bringing the value of $13624. I wouldn't sell that for a penny less than $12500 and that guy knows it.

Want a bike for $9000? go find a stock one, because if you think that bike is worth $9000, you damn sure dont know what to do with everything on there anyway

Crappy apearance mods affect the value of a bike more than performance mods. Unless we're talking about some crazy turbo setup, or some insanely expensive wheels, you might be able to add on $500 ontop of NADA for the mods hes got.

NADA value on the bike average retail is just under 8k (7950) My experience has been NADA value is a little high. So give the guy $500 credit for the mods hes got...you have $8450. I wouldnt ever pay the price of a new bike for a used one. I can get a zx10 for right around 10k plus tt&l.

I buy and sell bikes for extra $$$...Right now I can go get a stock 04zx10 for 6.8k Theres no way in hell id pay that much money for that bike...obviously you're the ignorant fuck. He was asking what a good deal would be....Finding someone who can appreciate the mods in that bike and be willing to pay more than sticker for a new bike is going to be a hard task. I'll bet the bike winds up going at 10k at best

please show me where you can get a perfect condition '04 ZX10 for less than $7000. it might be a hard task to find a buyer, but there are definately people out there who actually understand what is done to the bike like you obviously don't. These arent cars....banks wont finance one as a car. Its a considered a recreational vehicle "dumbshit." The only way the owner of that bike will come anywhere near your 12.5k figure would be to strip the bike of his aftermarket accesories...sell them individually then proceed to sell a stock bike. No one in the market for a used bike with more than 10k to spend is going to spend it on a jap bike.....Sorry, its called supply and demand buddy...there is virtually no demand for a jap bike over the sticker price. I wish there would be, cuz I would be rolling in money right now.

i was waiting for you to finally type something. where did I say a ZX6R for $9k? I meant a ZX6R for what you can supposedly buy a 10R for, $6.8k. So what else does this bike need to be track ready other then some plastics? Maybe some spares like gearing and everything, but other then that it seems pretty damn close to being ready. and no, i havent made a dime off the motorcycle craze, but that still doesnt change the fact that this bike is worth alot more then you can afford it seems. and that there are plenty of people out there that would buy this bike at this price. just because YOU dont think it is worth that, nobody really gives a shit. go buy your stock beat up 10R for $6.8k or whatever and let someone who actually appreciates the worth of this bike buy it and save TONS of money instead of buying the parts separately after buying a stock bike.

I'm laughing so hard i almost fell out of my chair. All those mods..........in my world the only thing worth a shit is, that it's had the cam cover off and chain tensioner out to put in a set of drop ins...........BIG FUCKING DEAL. I guess that's hardcore in dfw stangs land. :rolleyes:

On a side note they get an E for effort for actually drilling for safety wire.

Theres alot of people on here that want to suck that guys nuts for having more money to blow than they ever would. I guess only when you work on and around them do you really develop an idea of what stuff like that is actually worth. Modding a bike is like pissing in the wind...From an investment standpoint you might as well set your money on fire.

very true... and theres no way anyone would pay more than $9,500 for that bike. and there are multiple reasons....

1. a new 10r is basicly a grand more and comes with ZERO miles!

2. ITS USED! im not saying thats bad but still you lose value the second it leaves the store.

3. horse power mods (PC, exhuast, etc) means that bikes hasent been ridden by a responciable 50 year-old adult (not that i would care but to some people..)

but basicly look at it this way....

you buy a bike for $10,000 value is now $8,200 you now put $6,000 worth of mods into the bike the bike is now worth POSSIABLY $9,500.

i get that 5K isnt alot of miles but still. that bike;s REAL WORLD value is $9,500.
