i heard that they took the car to a race out of town, anyone know anything about this and if yes what was the race and what were the results? post up if you have info.

They came to HMP for the true ten five in The Clobberthon. I believe they went 5.03, 4.97, 4.96 and won it with a 4.92, all in the mid 150's mph!

Wow! Pretty good payout for a local race. Hell thats more than the local pro mod guys make.

With what prolly $50'grand or more in the car and thats the payout? that sucks for payout. You would think they would have a lil bit more in payouts.

it's hard to have a big payout when you don't have big money to use for the payout. that has to be the single most ignorant statment i've ever seen on dfwstangs. hang around racing for a little while and you'll learn more.

You can't put a price on that car. It didn't cost 100k to build, but it might take 100k to duplicate it. Big differance :)

The scheduled payout for TT5 is $1500 for their class, thats assuming they don't break limited street into two classes again.

You can't make money with a race car unless either your last name is Hefler or you have a big primary sponsor. I'd bet Nelson is out over $400 every time they take his car to the track, assuming nothing breaks. You build them for fun and if you win anything it's more like a bonus.

I figured this out a few years ago and I've steadily been wasting my money on strippers and booze ever since.

UncHe's talking about when they ran the Chicago style thing when there was only 6 cars I am betting. The Nitrous cars raced and then the blown/turbo cars.
