First 600 ft of the track you couldnt have asked for a better palce to race, rest of the track was like getting a 100 mph head start at Cedar Creek and trying to go straight while its flash flooding! I got so close to the wall on my first pass I had to clean my britches when I got out. Seriously, it was soooo bad that Rail Cars were not even making full passes. Cars that were running 11.50's were lifting.

Not me...... :D

Had a battery problem tonight, wouldnt pull over 6000 in high gear :( On the other hand it was one hell of a driving experience! :D
Cut my best 60ft and 330 mark ever! After that it was Ice Skating in the Pond!

Had a great time, cant wait to go back and make a full pass on a better battery.

60ft......1.347
330.......4.049
1/8th.....6.34
mph .....107.09
1000ft.....8.36
1/4..........10.084
mph.........130.42 :(

How much gear are you running. It wouldn't pull over 6k in high gear but you still ran 130? Sounds like you got 3.55s or something.

It has been a 10.40 @ 132 with a smaller motor. The Battery was so wasted that I would let it charge for an hour make 1 pass and it wouldnt restart.

Of course it would run in the 9's if it was hooking up better, it would have been in the 9's if it would have burried the tach like it was supposed to. Hell I was along for the ride when I crossed the 1/8 mile marker. Ive twisted that motor to nearly 8000 rpm's before. That motor pulls hard in high gear when it works.

I would say it would have to run in the 9.80 range if it it was right last night. Maybe at 137 or 138 range, will see next time! I have been through the 1/4 with the 4.56's and a 28' tall tire. Now it's on a 29.5 tire.

Slippppppppeeeeerrrryyyyyyy after the 1/8th!You can say that again.. I thought I was on skates after the 1/8 make.. My first pass of the night I spunn like hell on slicks and had to shut it down and just cruise to the finish line.. I only made 3 passes out there and they all sucked.. The best I did was a 12.54@109 1.69 60ft but I wasn't pushing the car too hard up there since I really don't like driving on that track at night.. I am going to have to get this new suspension dialed in before the cruise next week I have a few people that I need to race..

I seen your car, I think I lost my nuts about the 1000ft mark on the first pass. Can someone please return them? Thanx

Good times Brian. Sounds like the Nationals will be very interesting this year if they don't get the track straightened out by then.

Is this because they scraped the track this year?

Actually, the track was grinded so it would be smoother. NHRA has been wanting the Motorplex to do this for 6 or 7 years I think. This also meant ALL of the rubber came off during the grinding process. It's like starting over again. It just needs a lot cars(preferably with slicks) going down it to get some good rubber back on the track. The last half of the track will take the longest to get right. And, this heat isn't helping the process. My old man was there Thursday working on it and he said during the heat of the day the track temps were 140+! It should be in good shape for the Nationals, if the weather is good you might see some records broken. Hopefully, it will be good @ Fun Ford!

Well, you guys were right. I was spinning 1st thru 4th gears! My best time was a 12.681 & 113mph. I didnt really slide (side to side) any, just breaking the tires loose. I am sure it will get better before the Nationals.
