My Dad just got FiOS put into his new house here in Carrollton and it freakin rocks. Its only 5mbps but it is way faster than anything I've ever had. I would highly suggest it to anyone wanting high-speed internet access.

They just put it in the neighborhood up the street two blocks away. I was told we would never get it because we are an SBC area and two blocks up the street is Verizon. My Comcast is great but I would gladly give up some download speed to get more upload. We should be getting 8mb/768 next month but I would rather have something like 6mb/1.5mb.

Where can I find that test, all the ones I've found so far are waaay to complicated for me to understand. they have a whole lot of numbers that I don't even care about, all I want to know is my dl/ul speed lol

I pay $49.99 for 15mb down 2mb up
Wow, my charter is $39.99 and only 2840/280 today. I remember when that used to be considered blazing fast:)
I've had FIOS for almost a year now and my only complain is the connection cuts off frequently causing a change in IP address. Other than that it is great, I'm getting 15mbits down and 2mbits up on some speed tests. Those that I don't I think it has a lot to do with their limitations, not the actual FIOS connection.
I LOVE MY FIOS!!! porn downloads so fast and its been 100% reliable. We are about to get Direct TV through them too

One problem with the fiber is that unless your having a new house built SBC wont put it in because of the cost BUUUUUUUUT they arent going to be buying anymore copper so any issues out in the field will be resolved with fiber. Bad part is that the reason verizon can do it and SBC cant is because SBC own sooooo much more area than verizon so the costs arent feasible to do it all now.
<-----Works for SBC

I get 5mb down and 350kb up with your basic tried and true Roadrunner. I'm happy with it.

Download Speed: 2906 kbps (363.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 239 kbps (29.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Charter..
It downloads fast, but I really need faster upload speed for hosting online gaming.. Hence my desire for FIOS.
