I have a abit IT7 Max 2 2.0 motherboard in my comp. Ive heard this is a great overclocker board but im not 100% sure how to do it. Im also not sure what to upgrade to get the most out of it. Can anyone give me some advice on this??

Also are there any good abit overclocker forums out there??

Thanks all.

Hope you don't mind spending more cash to replace the components you'll likely fry because you aren't familiar with overclocking.

just buy a bigger processor, theyre relativly cheap.

ignore that crap about burning shit up, etc.. I've overclocked every system I've ever owned since 1996 and never had a problem, actually burning up a CPU is only reserved for complete and total morons.

First of all, I assume this is an intel system, if its an AMD system, I can't exactly make the statement above.

First tell us what processor/memory, etc you are running.

Im running a P4 2.4B processor and 1 gig of memory. The memory isnt the best i believe it is pc 2700. Vid card is a nvidia gef 4600ti. I do want to replace this though.

Only ignore it if you're either a) competent with overclocking, or b) comfortable with replacing the parts you burn up because you're not competent with overclocking.

2.4B processors do not have a whole lot of room left in them, to be honest. I suggest getting an aftermarket heat sink/fan combo, and then overclock to 3.0GHz at best, but good luck, they are anything compared to the 2.4C processors.
