What is a ballpark figure on a Mustang GT with cloth, 5 spd, no options (non- shaker radio, no side airbags, no IUP)?? Also is there any idea of what the new blue color is going to look like? Is it a color that is available on any 05 models(or is it an all new color)??
THANKS

Vista Blue is a new Ford Color. It's more royal blue rather than the purple blue that Sonic looked like.
A basic GT as you described should MSRP at about 26K

from all the pictures I've seen of the Vista Blue, it looks exactly the same as Sonic blue, but without the purple pearl in it.

Guess I will have to wait to see one in person. I hope the blue is "brighter" in person!! We plan to trade my wifes Dakota RT (intense blue) in around Dec-Jan. I was hoping that the new blue would be close to the same color as her truck! :D But if not it looks like Torch Red!! :D

If your gonna get one I think it's order code 64E or something close to that. ;) But the tungsten silver is badass also.

Okay so what are the chances of getting an 06 with cloth interior, 5 spd (for less than sticker) in the next 6-9 months? :D

I don't even work for a dealership ;) (poke poke) but I know enough to get me into trouble. Odds are pretty good if your willing to pay 3k+ over sticker, if you want it at sticker you'll have to go out to BFE to get you one. But once again I may be wrong, Skip or Ryan, feel free to correct me. (not like you couldn't anyway, hell your paying for this particular forum)
Edit: Just saw you wanted it at less than sticker, odds are not in your favor. :(

It's all relative. I know I can sell a GT hardtop to stangers off the board at sticker.
If you wanted to buy less than sticker, my question would be how much off sticker. At some point I will be able to dicount a little when we have some inventory stacked up. These GT's will never sell near invoice unless we decide to honor X-plan. Another thing to consider is that there has always and always will be very little mark up in Mustangs. I know so many people that have already waited a year and are going to wait another year for the selling prices to drop.
I understand the logic, but there is just not a lot of money between cost and sticker. In my mind it's not enough to justify years of waiting. However if they are used to a 03 GT payment, I understand the hesitation. These are more expensive, no rebates, and more interest. They have become THE sports car of choice for the very qualified buyer, and the highly selective cash buyer.
We hope to have more inventory this year, and hopefully I can hook up as many stangers as possible. This past year was frustrating because of supply and demand. At least so many came in and bought dozens of F series!

Well when we get ready I will let you know. I am not worried about "payments", I am more of a "bottom line price" shopper. I won't/don't buy unless I can pay cash. That is why I am wanting to hold off another 6 months. Plus I will likely try to sell my wifes truck myself instead of trading it in. So I figure about 2-3 months more if I try to get premium money for it. :D But who knows a new Mustang would make a great Christmas gift for ME!! I mean her ;) :D

Going to BFE... :D Not a problem!!! We bought my wifes Dakota R/T in Michigan for a lot less than sticker and got the color we wanted. That was after dealerships in Amarillo, Dumas, Lubbock, Plainview, Fort Worth, Dallas, OKC, Tulsa, Albuq NM, Clovis NM, Las Vegas NV, and Denver all told me that I could not get an Intense Blue R/T Club Cab anymore! Out of all those dealerships only three would come off sticker ($500  ) for a black or white truck. So I spent 4 days sending emails to every dealership I could and bought it over the phone in Michigan for $3k off sticker!! :D Overnighted them a cashiers check and they overnighted the paperwork for me to sign. Called a transport company and had them pick up the truck and deliver it to my work!!! That was $700 so I really only saved about $2300 off sticker. But we got the Intense Blue that we wanted!! :D
It was kinda fun to drive the truck through the Dodge dealership in Amarillo after a couple of salesman and 2 managers told us that "You will not find a Blue CC R/T at all and you sure won't find one for less than sticker" But they sure were pissed off when we drove through the lot with buyers tags!!! :D I made sure to wave at the sales manager that treated us like trailer trash!! :D :D I wish I would have had a camera to capture the look on his face!!

Hell, I'd buy one RIGHT NOW if I could get X-plan, out of my truck, and financed. I think I'll be waiting a while. :o I work for vato zone and all they use is Ford's so I do believe they're an X-plan company, just have to get the pin.
