Went through Pampa a couple of years ago and the skating rink (the one my parents' owned was up for sale. Is it up and running or still for sale.

I hear the economy there is coming back? Good job opps for you I hope??
The skating rink is still closed & will probably stay that way I'm sure because they want way too much for the building I've heard.

The economy is picking up pretty good for this town but who knows how long it will last with some of the jackass's that run the city. LOL
At least with things picking up here some I have plenty of cars to paint lately though so things are going good for me & hopefully it will saty this way. :cool:

{----Grew up in Amarillo and lived there 29 years. Moved to Lubbock so my wife could attend Texas Tech in 2002 and left there in 2004 after she graduated!! Now in Fort Worth for at least the next 3 1/2 years. Then on to who knows where :rolleyes: Hope to sit down over Labor Day and look over residency programs in North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona and OKC. Might know where we are are going next, by this time next year. :(

I am sure this is an old ass thread, but since I am a newbie I figured I would post. Parents & cousins are from Abilene, grandmother still lives there near Cooper and has a '65 Stang. I lived in Lubbock from '94 to '97 while I was drinking my way out of Tech, and I just moved back to Dallas from Amarillo after living there for 4 years.

Mapquest sucks. I only know of one Canyon and it's south of Amarillo. I even listed cities/towns in Texas, and it only shows that one. Stay away from mapquest.

That is Ransom Canyon.

All the map shops throw little almost-errors in their products to help identify piracy. And if they left the Ransom off I probably know who did it :D
