laptop issues

I have an hp pavilion laptop, and I am having problems with the powercord. It is loose inside where the powercord connects to the comp. Sometimes if I move it a certain way it will go to battery power. I had my buddy solder the piece, but obviously it didn't work. I was wandering if any of you guys work on laptops, or know someone that does?

sounds like just wear and tear. I doubt there is much you can do to fix it with out probably spending more than you'd like to on a repair.

I'd try to see if you can find a local hp certified repair place local.
