Or just take in a wireless access point, leave it to default settings and enjoy. Your IT dept will love you.

Holy smokes, where do you live? 1st, I'd get with your IT department. 2nd, I'd more likely check harder for SOMETHING else.

See, if you use your works Inet connection, you fall under their rules. So, if they see ya surfing porno sites...it would be almost the same as if you were doing it at your desk. Basically, you're regulated and that's not cool. Where do you live that you can't find any local dialup numbers?

Take care,

Well I know they have dial up but I want Hi-speed ...

What I was asking is can i hook up a modem on my end dial up to work and have hi-speed at home.. Im tired of this slow ass dial up shit ..

And thanks for the IT jokes !!!!!! If I really knew I wouldn't be asking...

In order to get broadband speeds, you need both the broadband modem AND the service. If no one offers the service in your area, the modem alone will NOT speed up your connection.

if you dial up to a highspeed connection you're going to be maxed at phone modem speeds of 56K no matter what...I guess you can get tricky and use multiple modems and phonelines to increase speed but....

Have you checked out a few of the wireless internet provider in the area to see if you're in their coverege.
