Wichita Falls gtg- the speedway

hey, I found out that the Texas motor peedway is having another laps for charity if anyone is interested.

It is being held on sept 10th from 5pm-10pm

$25 for 3 laps around the 1.5 mile track and $10 to take pics in the winners circle with your car. If you would like to do more than 3 laps you can pay extra to go more. You will enter at the south gate and the people there will tell you all you can and cannot do on the track. You will be following the pace car at about 80 to 85 mph. And if anyone wants to get good pics you can be in the middle of the speeway to take pics. let me know if have any questions. besides kicking you out and banning you what would they do if you just took off and ran 150mph for a few laps? for those of us, or you who have the ability to go 150mph.

Supposedly a bunch of very aggressive Trucks that chase people down. Look for the last laps for charity event pics in this forum. Supposedly some would slow down to play catch up at higher speeds.....but the chase trucks would push them along.

yeah I think most the guys in Wichita Falls have fallen out of touch with the club. I was thinking of printing out some flyers about the laps for charity and posting them around town.

Guilty...I hit 130, then slowed for turn 3 (the "pack" was full straightaway ahead of me)...rev limiter in 4th...they speed up and asked me to exit the track (I have it on film - passenger shooting video)

Is there anyone from wichita falls that wants to go to the laps for charity event in Dallas at the speedway? We can go as a group and meet the DFW club there and have alot of fun.

This is pitiful, I have received nothing through the DFW posts from anyone in wichita falls about the laps for chartiy. I have gotten replies from friends and some people on base.

Most of the people here in town post on LS1Tech in the "Texas forum." There is not to many Mustang folk left up in our corner. Try and put it up over and you should get some response.

I drive the dark blue 03 mustang GT convertable and have brought my son to the get togethers we have had in the past with the club. To bad ya can't go it will be fun and we are planing on meeting the main DFW club down there too. But hey if things change still welcome to join us. I think we are going to plan on having people meet at the Winthrost exit near the water park at one of the gas stations at around 1:30pm and go form there.

Also when we get to Dallas we are going to meet up with the DFW stang club down there at sonic and then go to the speedway together from there. If anyone is intereted just show up at the gas station. We will head out no later that 1:45pm.
