Noticed this today, and thought it might have just been the specific video, but tried a couple of others, and same issue.

For some reason, the videos play back looking almost like a mosiac filter has been applied. I haven't done anything but update my videocard driver, but everything else works fine (games, etc).

Any clue?

Thanks,
Todd

Search for a recent codec pack. I had that problem for a while, then the pack fixtedit for me.

lol, doh. I've used Nimo, with NO spyware. I didn't mean to burn you. just search for codec packs on that site.

Last time I used Nimo was like 2 years ago... I find the "codec packs" do more damage than good. Too many codecs tend to cause problems.

Now, I just install the latest build of xvid, which takes care of divx as well, OggVorbis, Quicktime and I'm set. Recently had to install AC3Filter for audio in one of the videos I downloaded, but beyond that, 3 video and 1 audio codec is all I ever need (well, 4 video 2 audio, if you count Windows Media 9 series as both a video and audio codec)
