August Southside GTG 8/21 at Joe Pool Lake

OK, so the date and location are set. I'm going to get a covered pavillion hopefully with parking, bathroom, and a volleyball court. We are doing this pot luck style so I'd like to ask that everyone try and contribute something.



evil jose - Beef Fajitas, Tortillias, assorted condiments, charcoal.
CobraChic - Mini Calzones, some drinks, plastic cups.
Jetfast50 - Couple of Ice Chests.
EW - Hot Dogs and Buns, Mustard, F Ketchup, Beans, and some assorted soft drinks.

Pavalion #1 at 1pm.

Just an idea, but what about a huge GTG rolling out to that Drive-in theater on 287 by the track? It's close to Ennis, and I understand it's a blast...$1.00 hot dogs and popcorn, etc. They have first-run movies, so it's not a dump. It's in the paper all the time.

I'm leaning towards the Lynn Creek Side. $10 a vehicle to get in which is typical of the parks from what I've read. Haven't heard of $5 per person although I had a friend tell me the same thing but the website says otherwise.

Started a list of what's being brought on the first post. I went and checked out the pavillion on Monday and I'm going to reserve it later today. It'll be at Lynn Creek Park at Pavilion 2. It's right by the swimming beach so bring your swing trunks and kids. There's also a volleyball court and I'm going to see if I can dig up my net and stuff. I'll post up a map later.

BTW, this is open invitation so come on out if you can and bring the kids if you want. I'm inviting some friends of mine that have Mustangs but aren't active on DFW Stangs.

There is a pretty good size grill out there. Typical park grill but this one is bigger.

Well this sucks. Pavalion 2 was already booked since last month so I got Pavalion 1 which is at least close to the beach. It does have it's on private parking lot and bath rooms though but it's a little bit of a PITA to get to as you have to drive all the way around to get to it.

(e) Unauthorized livestock are subject to impoundment and removal in accordance with Federal, state and local laws.

(f) Any animal impounded under the provisions of this section may be confined at a location designated by the District Engineer, who may assess a reasonable impoundment fee. This fee shall be paid before the impounded animal is returned to its owner(s).
