W/O a QB not much. I think having Moss and Sapp on the same team is two ego's too many.

BTW-I still gotta go with the Pats based on coaching/scheme as opposed to player's

I'm sticking with my Eagles.

Defense is still stacked. I am more worried bout Westbrook not in camp than TO. Westbrook is more important to that offense.

People forget the Eagles made 3 straight NFC Championship games with no TO, and made it to the big dance without him in the playoffs. This team is 2 wins away over a 4 year perios from being the Patriots, yet they get no love.

GO EAGLES! And yes I am from Philly

LOL... I agree with your comment on Westbrook. There is no offense in Philly if TO or Westbrook gets injured. The Pats can put a WR as a DB and still win with scheme.

I am a boys fan but don't think they will do well. I think the skins will give Philly a nice run and I expect Portis to have a good year. I also think the Chargers and Colts got a legit chance too.

Pats? Maybe you've forgotten that Romeo Cronell and Mike Weiss have departed the team? Tedy Bruschi is out for the season, and someone else (name forgotten at the moment) is no longer with them.

Edit: I bleed black and gold. Go Steelers!

Is Detroit really shaping up to be that much of a threat this year?

I really hope the Broncos can make the super bowl, Plummer is just way to inconsistent - he would fit the cowboys better;)

I feel a .500 performance by the cowboys.

Not much.
I cant understand the Cowboys when it comes to Qb's.First it was Q who Jones promoted as their quarterback for the future.Whoops...make that Hutchinson. No, now its Henson.
Then it's Parcells who hates all of those guys and wants to bring in his retreads.
The Cowboys arent going to the playoffs. They won't win the division and I think the wildcard will be out of reach.

I'll be watching out for the Longhor..... Lions this year, well with all the UT exes on the team and all. I think they have like 5 guys  they signed on from UT in the last couple years.

I'll be watching out for Julius Jones...but wait a few years until you say he's the next #22... that's a pretty quick judgement, and very bold statement.

Gonna watch Ricky, and I think he's gonna have a hell of a year. Not necessarily getting as many Y.A.C. yards, but running around people (he is about 25 lbs light).

Can't wait to see Cedric play for "da bears".

Last but not least... Patriots won't win again this year. It'll be the Colts.

With out Plexico the Steelers are gonna miss that big yard reciever and Bledsoe has not lost very much considering he took a shitty team and carried them almost to the playoffs. Dont count him out he still has the talent just needed a teamboys might make it to the wild card, I hope.

It's Plaxico.

They still have Hines Ward and Antwaan Randle El both are more than capable of catching the long ball. Hines Ward proved that when Plax went out for 5 weeks last year. He stepped up and took Plax's place of Roethlisberger's favorite receiver; which is why Plaxico is no longer with the Steelers :)

I think the Raiders are gonna have a good year, Moss should put up some great numbers, Collins throwing it deep, Jordan running it, Turner calling the plays, they might have something

I predict failure for Roethlisberger in his second season, they will stilll be pretty solid, he won't

I also think Cinci may be pretty decent this year, Palmer= solid season

and I am hoping that my Cowboys can improve and make a run towards the playoffs behind Julius Jones :D

I predict failure for Roethlisberger in his second season, they will stilll be pretty solid, he won't

If he plays anything like he did in the last two rounds of the playoffs last year, he will be a failure and Maddox would probably fill in his shoes. But since 1 week after loosing the AFC Championship, he was working with Dick LeBeau to teach him how to better read defensive play strategies, I don't really see that happening.

But ya never know.

In the AFC, the Ravens look pretty tough to me. They once again have a bad ass defense. They picked up a couple of good receivers (Mason and Clayton) to help Boller out on offense.

In the NFC, I want to say the Eagles because of their success over the past few years. However, it is going to be hard to build a team chemistry with TO on your squad. I think the Panthers have a good of a shot as any. They have a lot of depth and talent at RB. They also have a good group of receivers, even without Muhammad.

Super Bowl Prediction: Ravens 17
Panthers 13

dont count the bears out, they do have a very strong WR core now, Grossman is out for a lil bit but he hasnt been vital to the team, and if their Defence stays healthy unlike last year, they have a shot at the division, they proved themselves to be a tough team to beat last year even with the 3rd string QB and half the d out, they always have a strong defence its just they look bad cuz they half to be on the field so much because the offense couldnt do any thing with the ball

I met Elway a couple of years back at a Colorado Crush game, that's about it. My grandpa used to work for John Elway's auto nation and has several super bowl balls (the commemerative ones) signed by Romo and Elway. I've read a few different articles comparing Denver's D to Tampa's D when they won the super bowl. As long as Plummer doesn't throw any left handed interceptions like he did in the season opener next year, we'll be fine. Plummer is a wildcard. When he's on, he's the best there is, but if he has an off day it kills the team. Kinda hard to overcome 4 interceptions.

I'm overseas, so I didn't get to see any of the preseason games, but from what I read on ESPN.com Plummer's stats were pretty good and he looked sharp. Plummer's biggest downfall is that when he was in AZ he was always pressured to get the job done, and he had no supporting cast with the exception of David Boston. He hasn't quite realized it yet that Denver's D is fuckin good, and he's got all he needs on offense to be super productive. And now Jerry Rice is out, thank God, so Darius Watts has a chance to step in. It'll be interesting. Though, football season ends for me on Oct 5...opening day NHL.

I just feel like Roethlisberger will not be that great this year, however if they only have him throw the ball 11 times like the first game and run it like last year, he could have another great season. I just based the comment on the end of last year when they tried to put the team on his houlders, he is not ready to win the games throwing it all over the field yet.

you are an idiot, it isn't like free agents were around when either qb were in their prime, and all of elways rb's were drafted most after the 5th round. if you want to compare qb stats then marino is the best of all time. if you want to compare total wins, I could be mistaken but i think marino owns that as well. and if not for the strike season brett farve would still be chasing down marino for most games played in a row by a qb. don't get me wrong elway is one of the few great qbs to win a super bowl, most of the time only average qb win them.

most of the qbs who have super bowl rings are average at best qb who play on great teams. the only great ones I know of that have won a super bowl are John U. Elway, and Joe Nameth(sp?) the rest were qbs who play in a system with great players around them. so saying a qb who doesn't win a super bowl is lesser for that would be like saying nolan ryan was an average pitcher becasue he never won a world series( although I don't know if he did or not i don't watch baseball.)

Tell yourself what ever you need to so that you may feel better. Was Dan Marino a great QB yes, was Troy yes, what about Roger and Terry in the 70's, Joe Montana, Bart Starr, Jim Kelly (no super bowl ring) yes they were all great but until you get the ring you'll only be great not the greatest for that one day in time. That day you have led the one team to be the Executives of ass whooping on the Grid Iron. Only when one has the ring can he say he has climbed as far as he can go. Marino was to steps from the top. Great but not the greatest for he went to the Superbowl and was bested.

if one player was as important as you claim then the pats, 49ers, steelers, bucs, bears, ravens, etc would have never won the super bowl. you can try and win this arguement, but you will lose. the only thing you can argue about is he didn't win the super bowl. yet you can't deny every record he owns, the fact that the nfl plays the way it does now because of him. why don't you come up with something to try and prove your theroy that marino wasn't the greatest. also why is it all qbs that are drop back qbs, all try to emulate marino's throwing style, though none have.

also look at manning breaking the td record last year. he had the 2nd or 3rd best wr in the game a top 10 runner and a second wr who would be #1 on just about any other team. and he barely broke the record. yet marino had a back who couldn't get more than 800 yrds and 2 fast but very small wr's . he just knew how to put hte ball where his players would get it. marino also destroyed the greatest D for any one season.

i do not like the steelers, but my wife is from pittsburgh and i'm forced to watch them. let me say this, they look very very tough this year. they'd have to be my pick right now to win it all as much as i hate to say it.

Pitt looks better than I expected. Week 3 should be a good test for them when the Pats come in town.

straight up. i do 2 parlays every week. one "safe" one that i should have a decent shot of hitting, and one parlay on games i think could be upsets or that should be close. i included them in my second parlay this week, along with maryland over wake, the vols over LSU, and a couple others.

The Broncos redeemed themselves!!! I was hoping to see Big Ben and the Steelers take down the Pats, but you have to respect that team and their heart.

Yeah, good point. I cannot believe with all the numbers geeks around the teams, that no one picked it up.
