Anyone interested in some Freebirds (http://www.freebirds.com/) Burrittos? Good stuff.

How about this Thursday, around 6:30?

The restaurant closes at 9 pm but the parking lot is huge and well lit. When we had GTGs there before, we hung out in the parking lot after the restaurant closed.

Directions: http://www.google.com/maps?q=freebirds&spn=0.167650,0.282452&near=Fort+Worth,+TX&cid=32725278,-97320556,7577719944723886080&num=2&start=0&hl=en

Take I-20 West, exit on Hulen. Go south on Hulen. You'll see the Hulen Mall on your right. Just after the mall, turn right onto Overton Ridge. Freebirds will be on your left, next to a mattress store. There's a Pier 1 Imports, Michael's and an Ultimate Electronics in the same parking lot. If you see a Target Store or get to Bryant Irvin, you missed it already.

Dammit! I hate to pass on an opportunity for the greatness of Freebirds.

Can't make that one though. :(

Willie and poor boys are playin', gonna pick up some Freebirds to eat!!! Da da, da da da, da da da...da da, da da de da, de da da, de da!

Round the bend from the engine laboratory, where experiments take place in the never ending quest for acceleration (except when its raining)...

Freebirds is GOOD STUFF!!! Anyone else going???

Lately, there have been random comments about doing a Freebirds meet. In posts and in "real life" conversations. I'm in the mood for some Freebirds this week so I figured I'd start a thread. I'm sure there will be others that show up but not post. It usually happens that way. If not, I'm still in for the good food.

This is just a one-off thing. Not a weekly GTG.

That's cool...the burritos are awesome...and its around the corner from the house...

I will make following statement:

I, state your name, do solemnly swear to keep boost at a minimum when leaving food establishments in the future...so help me right foot!

From a previous thread on Freebirds...

It goes in a nice little order. First select your item (burrito, tacos, bird salad, etc). Let's say you decide a burrito, now you select your size, then your tortilla. Now we ask "Rice and cheese?" and you say yes, we say "Jack or jack and cheddar?", you say "mixed", we say "black, whole pinto, or refried," you say "refrieds," we say "steak or chicken?" you say "steak," (if you say chicken we say "white or dark?") we say "any mild sauce, hot sauce, or bbq sauce?" you say "mild, lime, and bbq," we say "would you like any roasted bell peppers and onions or queso?" you say "both," we say "the queso costs a little extra, is that okay?" you say "yes," we say "anything else?" you say "pico, lettuce," we say "I'll put the lettuce on last, anything else?" you say "onion, salantro, and maybe a little guac," we say "the guac costs a little extra, is that okay?" you say "yes," we say "okay, lettuce and then that's all?" you say "yes," we say "okay, how does that look?" you say "fantastic, I'm ready to eat it!" we say "is that going to be for here or to-go?" you say "for here," we say "alright, let me roll this up and I'll be right back!" you say "okay," (...rolling, rolling, rolling) you say "dang that's huge!" we say "we are the best burritos around," you say "thank you very much Dale," we say "thank you, have a great day sir!"

Get it?

Oi Shi Sushi. Next to the Albertson's on I820/Jacksboro Hwy. NW side of FTW. It was ok. They have the hibachi thing too. Prices were actually decent. From what I've seen in the past, the food at all sushi places taste about the same. The main differences are in the atmosphere and price. Unlike steak or burger joints, the food varies a lot. Sushi is sushi from what I've seen.

Pfft! It's over now. Besides, you won't go anyway even if the roads were clear. This location is more than 3 miles from your house. Way more than your limit.

Great idea Prop! Haven't eaten there in a while (been too busy! HA!)...and the last Freebirds I ate at was the one off Beltline (finally remembered)...It was great to meet some new faces as well (definitely like sushi idea we all talked about)...good looking cars gang! (Adding value to an otherwise bland looking parking lot!):D

We should do this sometime again...for those who couldn't make it, sorry you guys missed out! (Next time maybe)

And, to remind EVERYONE...

I will make following statement:

I, (state your name), do solemnly swear to keep boost at a minimum when leaving food establishments in the future...so help me right foot![/QUOTE]

I kept my promise! (setting on LOW)...:p (You egged me on Prop...PEER PRESSURE!):D

Thanks for joining me for dinner y'all.

I'm sure we'll have another random Thursday dinner GTG. I don't know what the next random craving will be but sushi does sound good.
