I've only been riding for about a month now and I have an issue that really pisses me off.

Does anyone else get skipped at certain red lights. I swear I can't be the only one. It causes instant road rage, especially in this heat! DAMMIT!

Any solutions? I'm almost sure I on the pads that sense a vehicle. Am I just not heavy enough or what? (bike=400lbs. me=160lbs. : 560#'s-----too light? Damn, it pisses me off.

whooo...... I feel a little better, I'm gonna go shoot out some lights now. ;)

Your weight will not trigger the sensors for the lights.. so just run em.. and watch for cops..

think the sensors actually sense metal from the bottom of cars. Ive heard putting the kickstand down helps, but ive never tried. I just run the damn lights. Look both ways first though :D

I have at night, but in heavy traffick it's a little harder to do.

The "pads" are lined with a wire that senses large metal objects on top of them. you are just a bag of water and the bike is alumum and plastic. Not enough metal to detect.

i dont know if all that really works because i have hit red lights where there was no one in going in the perpendicular lanes... and i mean, it was green while i was coming, and it turned red before i could go through, and no one was there.

there is a company that makes these magnetic strips to line the bottom of the motorcycle that is supposed to trip the lights for you, i cant think of there name though.

lol, i have been riding for 2 months now, i was wondering the same stuff you are. after 2 cycles if no other car comes up to help me trigger the light i just run it. i sure do love timed lights when i am the only one waiting at an intersection, sitting still sucks ass

yes this is true as is proven at about 3 in the mornings because i will come up on a light and it will turn red, prompting me to stop, with no other cars in sight.

alot of people on sportbike forums say the metal strip you can buy for your bike doesnt work. i am not a red light runner, so if i know im going to get stuck (late at night) i will just make a quick right and bust a U

That is my usual plan of action. Although it happens to me daily just down the street from my office......at 3pm! ( hot as hell outside )

The items on this website.......

......are not metal strips, they're magnets, which actually sounds like it would work.

I'll try'em out and post up my review.
