So they've been tearing up the street next to my house to widen it and they've got gravel all along the front of my driveway where they've been tearing up the road and I've had to be real careful going in or out as it's real loose.

Anyway, get home last night, tired after a 13 hour day (this is not even including the hour to work and another hour back) and didn't notice that they poured ashphalt yesterday. It was dark and I wasn't paying much attention and just as I realized what it was and that it was fresh I was about a third of the way across it and the bike started to sink  I grabbed the front brake... bad mistake... and almost dumped the bike

Luckily I had both feet down and caught it but still almost lost it. Close call. I was so close to home that I wasn't paying attention. ASPHALT SUCKS!!

Were you able to just throttle thru it?

Hate it when that happens. Glad you didn't drop it, man.
