Forks being rebuilt? cost?

This is going to sound stupid, but I need to get the forks on my g/f's 1996 EX250 rebuilt. They are waaaaaaayyyy too mushy. Whenever you even tap the front brakes, the forks almost bottom out. Very unsafe to ride. Any place that can do this around here other then Kawi?
