Trying to get some interest in a road course GTG. The place is MotorSports Ranch (www.motorsportranch.com). 1.7 mile track with 11 turns. I need 25 cars to get the track for a day. $95 for 3.5 hours class time, with 3 20 minute sessions. Any interest?

1st off, it's not an Autox.....it's open track time on a road course.

2nd, this is a good deal if you are looking to get to know your mustang a little better when driven quickly. That can be a good thing.

3rd, there should be 4 on track sessions total. 2 lead follow to get to know the track.....Jack will have the "train" follow at 50mph clip, then 70-90 mph clip. 3rd and 4th sessions will be open.

Notes:

-Don't spin on a lead follow or warm up lap....I won't name names!!! ;)
-Have fun and don't push it. Mustangs were built to go in a straight line and you guys don't want to be paying to repair your cars from off track excursions.
-Plan for problems. Brakes, cooling systems, belts, wiring/charging and suspension are going to be put to the test even at a 6/10's pace. don't take a piece of shit out there and ruin it for the rest of the folks by oiling down the track or blowing coolant all over. The day is done for all at that point. If your car breaks, plan for how to get home either a wrecker or buddy with trailer.

Mod motor'd cars....run an extra quart of oil and don't let the gas tank get below 1/2......TAKE MY WARNING SERIOUSLY!!!!

Have fun guys. If you need a car to fill a slot, let me know. I can always use some cheap time to scrub tires or shake out the car.

When? As it has already been said, $95 bucks is a good deal on seat time.

I have not gotten that far yet. Between this forum and the Mach1 registry site we have only got 5 cars. If we can get some more interest I will call them back and look at open dates.

Look up the "Ford Bastards" web forum/car club. I did the same type of event with them earlier this year and had a blast. They had about 30 cars overall and we all had a great time.

 :o

I might be interested, but it would be nice to have a date. Are we talking a month or two down the road?

Hmm...... $95 is a pretty decent deal. I'm in.
Better check the calendar at MSR first. If you need more people I know a few that might be interested. ;)

Anymore word on a date? I'd like to take out my new S4. You get us a date and we can find the people.

As part of the fordbastards planning group.....pick the date. We can book enough cars easily.

I've planned and been to three of these events.

I can give ya pointers to make it easier for ya.

We can easily fill it if other cars are involved.

Last event we had Mustangs, Probe GT's, SHOs, Thunderbird Supercoupes etc.

You'd be surprise what a Probe GT can do in the corners.

I'd recommend two people to handle the booking.

One to handle the money coming in and one to plan the event, answer questions and communicate with Jack.

Usually two weeks before the event the money will be due.
